Read about fifty posts and had to jump through. In the old days my Dad knew many cops. Some are assholes, and that assertion is mainly based on them abusing their authority. But what we considered an asshole and what you consider an asshole might be two different things. To their discredit, how many of them did it take to beat up Rodney King ? What's more I have been beaten up by the cops and know or have known others who also have. It is never one cop. Not in one single instance to my knowledge, either public or personal. They also have a policy that if they send a police dog to chase you, the dog is allowed to chew on you a bit, as part of a sort of incentive. They have an unfair advantage in court when it comes to credibility even though they lie as much as any other might. Our own top cop Simone has a hardon for me, but I am not looking out of steel bars right now. :-) A couple of years ago he was involved in a shooting and as such had to submit to investigation. He was caught with his drop piece. For the uninitiated a drop piece is planted on someone you shoot to prove self defense. Cops are not the only ones who use them BTW. But the sun shined and people forgot as the news media hushed it up VERY quickly, all we got was the initial report. The sheeple went back to their soap operas but I did not forget. I am not connected to this guy, but it's like a cat and mouse game. I don't particularly enjoy the mouse status but it does have certain advantages. If he ever catches me I will ask what ever came of that. Just to be a smartass. But then there were the cops we were connected with. Most would be considered dirty under most people's criteria. They would go out taking guns away from people, some of whom we really don't want running around with guns. Every kind of somethingopath or whatever, drug addicts and the like. But guess what happened to most of those guns. Well you would think they would be used in a court case and be in the evidence room right ? Nope. They were in a briefcase in an after hours joint being sold to people like the olman. He bought several. In fact once he sold one and sent a cop to go get it back. Two hours later the cop gave it back to him. We were truly ruthless. It is that sort of abuse of power that I abhor now, as I see things diffently. But now on the flipside, cops, good or bad have many problems. I can see why they get frustrated and even under the best conditions might be hard to deal with. They have much higher rates (or used to) of divorce, suicide, mental problems and all of that type of thing. I have been so appalled at some people's behavior that I felt like killing them on the spot. Thinking to myself that this could not be the behavior of an adult, when they're in their forties. And then I don't do it, because I don't do such things, but in the back of my head sometimes there is the thought that this person should not be in charge of a child, their teaching methods are all off and they are going to fail. In one case a Woman, a friend actually has a bunch of kids, and now that they're grown will not even speak to her. And now come someone else's Grandkids. Those kids would be better off with her dead. She already produced about five fucking psychopaths, do we need any more ? I don't do it because, well because. It's like something that I am not supposed to do. I judge others of course, but to decide who is to live or die ? Nope, not on my calendar. But they should not be exposed to her, much less under her influence. How much of this shit do you think cops see ? In my profession I could do well making house calls. But I can't stand to see people in their homes sometimes. One broad I wanted to fuck up smacked her five year old son in the back of the head for not having his shoes on almost knocking him over. The reason ? If he tripped and fell she could be charged with child abuse. That is from her own mouth. People like this have an effect, and I have only one hope to survive in society, and that is to remove myself from the situation. I am not a superhero. I can't be. So a cop's first day on the force, what do you imagine it's like ? Then day after day they see things that would put hair on your chest, curl it and remove it all in one fell swoop. They are still human under whatever uniform, or even vest they might wear. How much do you think they can take before they crack ? Yesterday going through some of the olman's shit I ran across a courtesy card from a sergant(sp) we used to refer to as stormin' Norman. They kept him in a bad area, and he has shot many people. He lost about 11 partners because they weren't fast enough. Really bad neighborhoods. Eventually they put him on disability because he couldn't take any more. When you're a cop, you are like soldiers, and depend upon one another sometimes for your very lives. It's no wonder to me that some of them decide to just get as much as they can as quickly as possible and get out of the game. It's no excuse of course, but I can understand it. I don't know what kind of cops busted my buddy with 200 pounds, but they must've had it in for him or been on camera or something. Most of the time in this town at least a while back, you would get busted for one pound and they would say "But not three times bulk amount" and the smuggler would just shut the fuck up. The other 199 pounds was on the street but through different channels. And now the jails are so full, you almost have to spit in their face to get there. No wonder they are going nuts. If they are crooked, the job still sucks. If they are good fine upstanding Men who take their job to protect and serve the public seriously, that is not going to last long. While I intend to make no excuses, I can understand. Sometimes their abuse of power is self serving of course, but there are other times when someone is just truly an asshole and needs to go to jail, they'll fuck him right up the ass. [nonconsentually] I really don't see how the honest ones can stand it every day. Directing traffic used to be considered a demotion, but now it's more like if I make the same money doing this as chasing people down, fighting and possibly shooting them, taking risks, fine with me. As usual, people in general are a big part of the problem. Not an excuse, but can be awfully hard to take all the time. T
