He had his problems, but history will forever credit him predicting the Iraq war disaster in advance and speaking out against it.

When the dems backed the Voting Rights Act(s),we knew we would mean the loss of votes,power and influence.But we did it and said to the bigots,don`t let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya....... It took strength of character and moral fortitude to do it and follow through.And a price to pay but we payed it and would do it again. Personally,I couldn`t support a party that stood for low class anti-intellectuals shenanigans like bigotry,the "southern strategy",etc. Those are not the democratic party`s ~values~.Those are not my ~values~. The repugs can and will pander to anti-intellectuals and their "values" in the same way fox panders to the lunatic fringe and their "values".
