ORIGINAL: Moonhead It's the thing I really admire about the bloke: he started off as a racist, but he turned his back on that after he learned better. It'd be nice if a few of the birthers could show that much development, wouldn't it? "Learning better" about racism is as bogus as rehabilitation for criminals. They make an effort to rehabilitate criminals elsewhere, you'll find. The Dutch in particular have done very well over that one. As for the other, would you have said that HP Lovecraft might have got a bit less racist in the decade between publishing The Horror At Red Hook and At The Mountains Of Madness? It's convenient for political arguments to assume that people are incapable of change, and anybody who claimes otherwise is lying through their teeth, but that isn't how reality works, I'm afraid. Just because Andrew MacDonald is still as big a cunt as he was when he wrote the Turner Diaries, doesn't mean everybody else has their mind nailed shut, capisce? People change in some respects. I don't believe that their core personality ever does though, and both racism and criminality are core personality issues. No they're not. "Criminality" isn't even a personality trait in the first place. That's a social thing, not an internal one. Lovecraft was not growing out of his racism when he died, then? You can demonstrate that this was not the case?
