I just cracked up reading this thread! It's certainly not Domme specific. A LOT of women find m/m sex hot. I LOVE it. And I write it, which is what further cracked me up when fanfic came up. My first experience reading it was through fanfiction, and now I'm writing slash CSI fanfic. As long as you can weed out the people who can't write, there's some pretty good stuff out there.
Only recently, though, did I start reading original m/m novels. It seems in this field there are more guys (though it's still mostly female lead, I think). These guys are annoyed because they want more gay romance written by guys, or written the way guys think. That can be hard for a woman to do, as we have our own needs when writing/reading fantasy. We tend to go for more of the emotional then men. Plus, it's mostly women writing it, so you're going to get more emotional stories. Deal with it, I say. They're better stories. lol.
And as someone else commented, even though I'm straight, m/m is just about the only thing that turns me on these days. It's hot, and there's just something beautiful about it, that I can't describe. Perhaps it's because two men are on a more level playing field, regarding stereotypical gender roles. I think this is where my Domme side kicks in because I can't stand the idea of the stereotypical weak woman bottoming for the stereotypical strong male, which is what society drills into our heads as the "right" way to go about sex. But, anyway, aside from that, yeah, it's just hot. End of story.
