That is a very tiny picture.  But there it is!  Here is the mermaid I made in the wet sand.  Apparently, water runs through here and also lies beneath this one part.

I was so frustrated by having my efforts turned down 3X for being too large I went to the smallest size I could find--now I'll work my way up.  Love your mermaid by the way.

Those are very nice.  It's early, I'm going to throw another one up, but I don't know what yet, just something random from the trip.  There's a 111 pictures and I've already posted the best ones.  LOL  Here's the Dog Bar.

They appeared to have a jukebox, but they had a very small band playing the night I was there, if you can call 2 people a band, that is.  It was still fun, though.

See????

DarkSteven and I were TOTALLY correct!  Come to Denver (about 1/2 way up.) Spend 3 or 4 days with us, then go to the Bad Dog Bar.  <OOPS!  That's where we will take you.... then you go to Dog bar..... LOL!>

Includes a cog railway and an amusement park.

McGuckins!  Best hardware store you'll ever find: http://www.mcguckin.com/

The Dushanbe Teahouse: http://www.boulderteahouse.com/index.html

The Pearl Street Mall, best place to peoplewatch in the state: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pearl_Street_Mall

Celestial Seasonings: http://www.celestialseasonings.com/visit-us/index.html and the nearby Leanin' Tree Museum: http://www.leanintreemuseum.com/ourMuseum.asp

And of course, the wonderful people here!

The Dog Bar was great, though there weren't enough dogs there.  I think I only saw 2 and they were both outside!  I'm not so sure that it's true that dogs aren't discriminated against there.

Here is a nice image of Everest. The routes are littered with bodies of guys who didn't make it. Tragedy usually strikes on the way down when climbers are exhausted, and mistakes easier to make.

The three stars indicate the Three Steps. The first sometimes called Hillary's Step.

Bodies are often spoken of as if they were sign posts- " Turn left when you get to Green Boots" etc

Is that really a dead guy?  Or is that somebody just lying down for a picture?  Are you planning on going?  I'm not going to be there, that place looks c-c-c-c-c-c-COLD!

Thats a dead guy.

Probably died of HACO, or HAPO. He knew something was wrong. Probably hallucinating. He eventually lay down. There was nothing else to do. Probably alone and out of oxygen. That place is now known as Green Boots Cave. It's not a cave, just an edge with a little canopy.

He was way inside the death zone. This begins at about 16000 feet I think. He sleeps somewhere close to the 3 steps.

Sorry this is late, I travel past sierra blanca. It is pretty. If you are ever that way ask me anything you want to know. Whenever going higher 5000 feet always bring plenty of water and emergency oxygen just in case.
