This morning we had the Gyro Breakfast at Bill's Gyro Souvlaki on the boardwalk in Atlantic City.

At midnight last night we had the Corned Beef platter with cheese fries and gravy at the Irish Pub in Atlantic City.

For lunch today we had the Fish Taco's at the Mott's Creek Inn.

I have not seen Food Inc.

Do yourself a favor and skip it.

Shut up!  Everybody should see it!   If you don't watch it and you don't know what the problems are, then how can you do anything except make the problems worse?  You can't.  Be the solution, not the problem.  Ignorance isn't bliss, it's ignorance.

Marie is known as Marie2

I think Jeff was kidding about "don't watch it", I'm sure he is as eager to open his mind/options as anyone else.

Since seeing it, I now shell out $6.00 for a gallon of organic milk at Trader Joes.

You could be right, but then I would have to stand up and talk in front of all those people!  I can stand up on a stage and take all my clothes off, stand up and talk and try to make sense of something?  Or argue a point?  I don't know......

Amy's Organics are good, but they're all vegetarian. There are frozen foods that are organic, you can find them at Whole Foods and other such places. You should also watch The Future of Food. You might want to read Fast Food Nation, which was pivotal in exposing ag business. I also strongly recommend The Corporation even though this documentary is geared more about corporations in general. There are several interviews with people like Noam Chomsky and Howard Zinn and many more. You can download transcripts of the interviews in that link.

I watched these DVDs and recommend all 3.

Was so shocked to hear you will be cooking that I posted no comment at all. Well, here's the good news...you will only need to learn 14 receipes. Or is this whole new you gonna be the guy talking about the why foie gras pan fried and served with micro greens on the side.

What happened to you?

Sorry Lance. My homo heart belongs to DC.

The heart wants what the heart wants.

But, but, he's a SUB ! ! !

"The heart wants what the heart wants."  True, but sometimes the heart can have more than one experience.

I offer a different experience. And, in the City where I was born.  I "came out" there and have "followed" the openings and closings :::sniff::: of the Leather Bars from afar.

Actually, a few years ago, I lectured on BDSM 101 at (in ?) the Manhole.
-------------
WAIT!!  I sense a Mod approaching with the "Get back on topic" paddle in his/her hand.

My "take" on all these videos and such is that they present a POV in an effective, exciting way.  That doesn't mean that POV is "correct" or even "right."

For example, from my POV, the Michael Moore nonsense is just that.  Ben Stein made a feature-length movie arguing for the teaching of creation science and intelligent design in schools.  Rather his aargument was against suppression of ID at the highest academic levels.  In four words: Intelligent Design is valid.

There is, I suspect (having never seen "Food, Inc.") little balance in its presentation.

Oh, the horror of it all!  Oh, the horror.
