were you in any way aroused by the torture scenes included in it?

I ask as I came upon it while browsing movie channels the other day, and- in light of my recent interactions with the sadists on this forum- viewed it quite differently than before. It occurred to me while watching that this might be something some of you found 'exciting' in ways other than what the director intended. Was this the case for anyone here? Those who have not viewed the film but have had similar experiences with other productions are invited to jump in as well.

As a corollary, if such an operation existed in earnest, would you be tempted to visit? (anyone reluctant to answer this portion in the affirmative even under the condition of relative anonymity are welcome to answer via private message)

I think a lot of horror movies are actually meant to be hot (to the right people). My girl loves zombie movies. Not because of the rotting flesh and brain eating, but their nature. They never stop, they keep chasing, they keep trying to get you, and they're very, very evil. ;)

The torture scene in Hostel just made me puke and scream, but to each their own. I think some masochists or submissives may get a charge out of the non-consent factor, and the fear factor, but I doubt many enjoy seeing limbs hacked off. But you never know.

saw the films, laughed at the 'horror', was interested by the special effects, was not aroused in the slightest, and I'm a masochist.

Gotta say no. I love horror movies and dig r/l  BDSM scenes involving things like resistance (rape) play, but the movie did nothing for me on either front.

interjection: i notice that the last two replies have come from submissive females- take no offense, but im less concerned with your perspective. i posted this on the "ask a master" forum as i am specifically seeking the opinions of dominant males (and sadists in particular).

when admin tell me I can't post in 'Ask A Master', then I'll take notice. But not until then.

You don't want my opinion, or Wyld's? Tough. Skip over and find the ones you DO care about.

its not that i have trouble skipping over it, but it detracts from the continuity of the thread. im curious though- what do you perceive the purpose of the sub-categorization of different forums to be?

Threads are organic in nature - they grow in the direction that the majority want it to. It's the way of life and of the internet.

I'm not really interested in categorisations of fora - I'm interested in topics.

I wasn't going to answer this because it's a stupid question...but being that you're acting so grade schoolish, I thought I'd annoy you.
So here's another submissive female's take on the movie. It was lame and not a turn on in the least.
It left me with no desire to have any of my limbs hacked off.

As for your foot stomping with the different categories on this message board...anyone can post anywhere.
If you don't like it then demand your money back.

You should watch this French film called "Irreversible".

Does it have subtitles? I can't deal with subtitles. If I want to read, I read a book. When I want to watch a movie, I don't want to have to read the dialogue. Should I ever go deaf, I guess I'm screwed.

The Tapeworm!  That movie was definitely very moving!  The French sure can make some good films!  That was a very emotionally powerful movie!

Yes, it has subtitles, but you shouldn't let that keep you from seeing something.  The movie was very powerful.  You have to see it.  There are lots of other subtitled films that are also just breathtaking in their beauty, subject matter, message, depth, you have no idea what you're missing!  Should you want to know the names of some other foreign films, let me know.  I have and love several.  I'll be happy to recommend something!  I'd LOVE to, actually!  Irreversible, though, is NOTHING like Hostel.  Hostel is a cheap carnival ride of make-up and special effects.  Irreversible will take you on an emotional roller coaster of suspense and the impact a single act can have on a person's life and the ones who care for them.  It will keep you on the edge of your seat and in the end, will bring you to tears.  It is THAT good.

I saw the movie. I thought it was kinda dumb and I was not aroused.

However, I AM aroused at the thought of your head actually being removed from your body like in your picture.

But that is more of a mental arousal than physical.

What about s-type sadists or do you not believe these exist?

And as strange as this might seem to you, some people like to answer the question, regardless as to whether you want them or not, because they understand that there are other people reading who may be interested in their views.  It may be your question, but after you let it go on a forum like this, you cannot control people that way, no matter how much you may want to try.

I couldn't get past the trailers. I find nothing arousing about mutilation and murder.

To give you more opinions that deviate from your original question.

This msub once saw Saw II in the theatres, still haunts me.

But for those into torture movies that got it into the mainstream, when I was 16 or so I saw a horror movie on TV called "Mark of the Devil" about the inqiuisition, lots of whipping, bone breaking, tongue ripping etc. Couldn't watch the entire thing (flipped channels the entire time, when I watched it, I was too horrified by it, when I wasn't watching it, I still had the urge to flip back to see what was happening), but it's out there for those who love it.

I saw Saw at the theater.  The acting was so bad, that's been the only Saw I've seen.

I haven't seen the film, so it really isn't possible for Me to comment.  There just isn't any information for Me to go on one way or another.

What you might be interested in as a similar subject that was a bit more reality based.  Not too long ago there were a couple of threads related to certain arousal that was linked to news or police reports.  One thread was in the general section and the other was in Ask A Submissive.  You may find some comments in those that will be close enough to answer what you're looking for.  The threads shouldn't be too hard for you to find.

And, before you say anything about another female answering your question, let Me assure you that neither dominance or sadism revolves around genitalia.  There are very few questions that really are gender specific.
