Status: offline 		Thank goodness for that Jeffff. There's only one thing worse than being talked about after all, and thats not being talked about.

Though I'm sure it was Rich that reckoned I was being "cuntish" the other week, when I repeatedly pointed out the inadequacies of his particular party of choice. I'm sure he can make such a decision on his own, but really, as a caring person what else could I do?

Personally I always think a barbecue with friends is the best choice this time of year.

I can admit that most posters I dislike bring at least *something* of value to the boards. Psychobabble made me think, even if he was a cunt. The Bosnian had some interesting points. Domiguy regularly makes me laugh.

You? You've brought nothing that I can think of. I'm not saying this to be catty. I genuinely can't think of a single valuable post you've made since your arrival.

Now I didn't see the thread that got you moderated, but I was under the impression that people tend to get moderated for their behaviour over a period of time. Mods-I know you don't like to talk about the details of moderation, but perhaps you wouldn't mind telling me if this is the case? (Generally, not in sm22's particular case).

See, I think I might disagree with you (although my opinion is not yet fully formed and may easily be swayed).

This place isn't the last bastion of free speech-it's a forum for the discussion of wiitwd. I don't think I care if people are allowed to say whatever it is that they think-I suspect I'd rather have a forum where discussion flowed smoothly and easily, and where posters acknowledge that the space is privately owned and that they have no automatic right to behave however disruptively they want.

On the other hand, I'd be a liar if I said I wasn't here partially for entertainment-I don't *want* to stop taking the piss out of sm22 because it's entertaining. The way he spoke to Ishtar, for example, was creepy and unpleasant and disruptive (I'm referring more to the first thread that got deleted here). But her responses were entertaining. I didn't want her to shun him because I was enjoying her reactions.

So I'm conflicted.

Status: offline 		there is a poster whose posts I find more frustrating than sm .... this guy more than once has commented that S/M is not part of what we do and that people who want that as part of their relationship have nooooo idea what this lifestyle is about ..... because this "lifestyle" is about D/s anyone who wants anything outside of that well *shakes head* sorry folks but that's not what we do here..

but like any place you go in life you will run across asshats .... I just do on here what I do in the real world ignore them (ok sometimes I stir a little but mostly I ignore)

When that hapless <cough> troll stumbled in and made an account to make an ill conceived thread to bitch about the lack of submission in chat room slaves.
The logged in membership joined in common purpose to take the troll to task without undue moderator interference.
All other squabbles on the board ceased.

Giving a community a common purpose and a common enemy to fight against results in a sense of solidarity and bonding.
The strengthened sense of solidarity results in a more stable community.
