It's called an appeal to pathos, FF. That's pretty fucking basic for somebody who wants to discuss rhetoric to be ignorant of. It's an attempt to draw a bit of empathy from you towards a guy who was out having a good time on New Years Eve getting killed by a cop for no good reason whatsoever.

Or do you reckon that since blacks commit so much crime, he just deserved execution for something anyway?

It doesn't matter if you think it was intentional or not. The cop was tried in front of a jury of his peers and they determined his crime. Just because you do not like the outcome does not change the verdict. Our system of justice is not perfect, but its the best in the world and we have to accept the verdict as it stands. Debating it is pointless.

There is plenty of black on white crime in the east bay that goes unpunished, every single day.

Status: offline 		You know, I went to that report and also to the site.  I've barely browsed the report and have already found a really bogus conclusion in it - they're using emergency room visits to tell which race is most likely to use drugs.  That's completely bogus.  Plenty of people use drugs and never rack up an ER visit.

Their raw data may be from some DOJ databases, but I have serious doubts about what they are doing with the data.  They say right up front that a lot of Hispanics are lumped in with whites, so how can they make these seemingly clear-cut conclusions about Hispanic violence, etc.?

Nothing will change what has happened. All are affected either by death or by the trauma of what has happened to their loved ones.

I am sure there will be a lawsuit and I cannot blame them but it will never, ever bring that person back no matter what the circumstances in any town, city or place anywhere in the world. No matter where this happens nobody wins..

My thoughts and prayers to all..

Ad hominen would have been accusing the poster of racism without strong evidence. Taylor's racial views are a matter of public record. When someone presents a source it is perfectly legitimate to examine the source for bias. Taylor is biased.
