My problem is that it would negatively impact my relationship with my daughter if I did this. And no guy, no matter how cute, is worth ruining my relationship with my kids.

I know it would because when I was my daughter's age and my father was dating someone my age, it caused distance between us. When I was that age and dated someone closer to his age, it caused problems between my parents and I. My friends who date younger men close to their children's age find that long after the young man is history, the coolness in the relationship with their child still remains.

In my experience, it becomes the proverbial elephant in the living room everyone walks around and pretends isn't there.

lol - before i replied to him, i pointed out that i was 52, and his reply?   Women my age are drama-free , as a rule.    I had to laugh, because i remember what i was like in my 20's and 30's.
