Politesub53 -> RE: Rant of sorts....pussified men (7/18/2010 6:04:34 PM)

Slightly off topic but still related.

I think some submissive women have stronger views on what they want than dominant women. I also think some dominant women, only want to be dominant up to a point. In as much that they she wants a man to act like a man, provide for her and look after her.

It is my belief that there is a sliding scale of both dominance AND submission. The trick being to find someone whose needs match closely with your own.

I want to be able to be the woman in the relationship, after all if I wanted a pussy why wouldn't I simply be with another woman. After all I am bisexual.

OP,  I'm curious how you would describe what being "the woman in the relationship" is to you.

I'm thrown off by your reference to pussy/woman, other than the physically obvious ie-women have pussies. Does that mean women are pussies simply because they have one?

gungadin09 -> RE: Rant of sorts....pussified men (7/18/2010 6:08:03 PM)

For the record, i like a lot of types of men, "pussified" included. i just believe that Inked has the right to dislike them.

Happyface.

Aynne88 -> RE: Rant of sorts....pussified men (7/18/2010 6:11:50 PM)

Define "pussified" please.  According to the OP, that would be men that aren't able to recognize that women are equal to them. Just because I am submissive to my man, that certainly doesn't make him less than submissive if he asks my opinion or respects my mind. I would never be with someone so weak that they thought me being a strong intelligent woman makes them "pussified."

The simpliest answer is a house wife form the 50's.

gungadin09 -> RE: Rant of sorts....pussified men (7/18/2010 6:17:13 PM)

By the OP's definition. All those "pussified" men who think that women are their equals. i'm saying i don't mind that, so much. Those pussies that don't tell their women to sit down and shut up. i like macho men, too. i like all kinds. i just don't mind the "pussies". But, to each his own.

With apologies to Jefff and LaT..

You think Ward was in charge in that house? June got what she wanted by being her charming self.

Equals, with different jobs in the relationship.

Aynne88 -> RE: Rant of sorts....pussified men (7/18/2010 6:20:05 PM)

Well then we will have to disagree. I am in a wonderful relationship with a dominant man that absolutely loves me to death, and I have never been more submissive or more happy, and he totally thinks I am his equal. You know you can be equal and still submissive right?

Pussified isn't a term I created, it has actually been around for years. Carlon started using it I believe. To me a pussified man is one who doesn't stand up for what he believes, wants or needs. They are men who let women belittle them and immasculate them publically and privately (not talking kink or even conscentual stuff).

gungadin09 -> RE: Rant of sorts....pussified men (7/18/2010 6:22:08 PM)

What are we disgreeing about? i agree with You. i just think Inked is entitled to her opinion, too.

Ohhh honey you edited again..lol. You need to be quicker. Okay let me rephrase. Men that need to tell women to sit down and shut up are to me rather weak....intimated by a strong woman...but, to each their own.

Switch woman with man in your post, and you can see the flaw in it

A woman, likewise, should not let a man define her character... otherwise she is dickified

This is where my brain went with it too.

This reminds me of a guy friend of mine, whom I've known since grade school. His wife is the controlling sort....the term "she wears the pants" comes to mind. And he follows her lead and goes with whatever she thinks is best as far as making decisions etc. I don't think they are bdsm-oriented, this just seems to be the dynamic that works for them. They love each other dearly, and that is very clear, and they both seem happy with the arrangement.

If he was unhappy, and didn't have the balls to stand up to her, I'd say, yeah...that's a wimpy pussified guy. But they are happy and are in a groove that works for them.

If you reversed the sexes in this marriage (or any other type of partnership, bdsm or otherwise) and he was the decision maker and more of the leader, while the wife followed along, would we be railing on the wife for being weak?

I'm not saying there aren't wimpy people in relationships (male and female) who just don't have the balls to do/say what they want, but that's another story.

If something works for a couple and they want and like one being the leader and one being the follower, there is no reason to see the man as pussified if he happens to be the "follower".

I think you emasculate, and that is not the same thing as loving a woman that is intelligent and strong. What or who is Carlon? I am out of that loop.

I'm really unable to say more without this clarification.

Level -> RE: Rant of sorts....pussified men (7/18/2010 6:28:02 PM)

Okay, how about this:

A man and woman are at a party. The woman isn't strong, she is however drunk; she begins saying some nasty things to another guest. The man tries once, twice to get her to stop, but she doesn't. Finally, he tells her to "sit down, and be quiet". Is that better, is it the "shut up" that is offensive? Surely not the fact that he's telling her what to do, is.

Just thinking out loud here. [:D]

mstrj69 -> RE: Rant of sorts....pussified men (7/18/2010 6:30:45 PM)

OP, you said "When did we enter this era where men are molded more by the behavior of others, than their own values/traits/characteristics?" I have to respond by saying it has always exosted. You said it yourself, you were raised by an alpha male father who was raised by his father. Can you truely say your father and grandfather's behavior towards their children did not affect them? Today society has changed the rules saying children are not to be punished and fathers are not to get custody of their children as the mother is automatically more qualified. Society has changed and the children of today have also changed with it. Peer preasure is much more of a determinant as to what a child will do. Some parents are afraid to do anything about it.
