These are all quotes of things you have posted in the past day or so.

quote:

I admit I am wondering if the realtionship with Daddy is really giving me what I NEED or if I am setteling.

I admit I love him but I am left wanting for so much.

I admit it bothers me that he refuses to change his profile status from single on tagged.

I admit he says I am over reacting b/c its simply online.

quote:

I admit  I haven't been around much the past few days.

I admit I have been hiding away from people bc I was in a people suck mood.

quote:

I admit I haven't talked to Daddy much lately.

I admit that bothers me.

I admit a friend and I had a conversation yesterday that makes me look at my relationships with people a little differently.

quote:

I admit I removed every thing that mentioned him in my profile on CM as well as on tagged after all it is only online.

I admit I am curious to his reaction.

I admit his reaction will tell me ALOT.

I could find more, but I think this will be enough for you to see that you are in an inner turmoil, and you might need to back away from the computer and figure it out.

Good luck to you.

I once had a sub say to me that, for a Dom, I didn't seem an alpha male. I laughed...! Of course I'm not; that alpha's require an audience, a pack, a group of followers etc, whereas I'm more your independent loner. There's as much chance of me being an alpha in a group as there is me being a follower.

I'm wondering, OP, if that's what inspired this thread - that Doms are alphas? I'm certainly a relationship alpha (and male).

Focus.

The only thing I can say to that is one has NOTHING to do with the other. Inner termiol? No, Am I questioning things? Of course. That is the reason for those posts you took from the I admit thread as well as this OP and the other I have made. I am questioning things, not because of Daddy and I but b/c of ME.

I always question things, although i admit in my 6 yrs on here I typically have avoided controversial questions being posted publically b/c as I said I  knew someone would be offended b/c you cant make everyone happy all the time.

Focus,
I actually don't think that every dom is an alpha male/female. Nor do I think that every alpha is a male. I do typically question about the male species though b/c well they are the ones I typically deal with on any real level.

I was actually just curious as to how others defined an alpha male or if they defined them at all.

I don't know why you think your opinionated judgments about other people are so important outside the context of your own mind you feel the need to be intentionally offensive about broadcasting them... I don't get it, I suppose I don't have the view that my judgments are so important that I need to broadcast them, and believe me, I have plenty of shallow opinions that frankly I try to challenge and keep to myself because I am slightly ashamed of them...

But yanno, that is just the place I have gotten to in the years I have been on this planet... oh yeah, you don't like it when people discuss their age as if it somehow makes them wiser than you, even though they may hold the opinion that this is so

Well if you have never used it, it must be fictitious

To me, the alpha male is something from the animal kingdom. It's the hyena that beats up on the other hyenas to become the leader of the hyena pack. It's using brute force instead of intelligence to get your way. One of them has a bigger set of horns, or tusks, or whatever. That's how they achieve dominance, by bullying.

In humans, i see the alpha male as the wife beater. The guy who uses emotional outbursts, intimidation, and physical strength to get his way. i see this behavior as a sign of weakness, that a person isn't strong enough or disciplined enough to control his own emotions. The guy who punches holes in the walls when he gets upset, thinking that this somehow demonstrates his "masculinity". In fact, it demonstrates the opposite. Reacting in this way is a tacit admission that a man fears a situation is beyond his power to control, and therefore he must reassert his authority through brute strength. i think that "alpha males" should stay where they belong- in the jungle.

P.S.- i mean, the ones who fit my definition of the term.

You don't think there are r/l versions of the fictitious Tony Soprano?

Seems like a potentially dangerous assumption to make, esp if it leads you to just step on anyone's toes you feel like....

I guess I missed your rant, Inky, and I know you have been on an rollercoaster lately, so hey! rant in good health!

I call myself an alpha personality, because I am the take charge kind of person, the go-to, the one that winds up with the responsibility and the blame. It's a convenient catch-all, and in my opinion and observation, it's a quality a person of ANY BDSM orientation can have.

I would think of such a person---male or female---as being independent, clear thinking, able to make decisions, and get the job done. Like that perfect PA who you can turn your back on and just KNOW that your appointment book is in order and you have the aisle seat on the plane, AND the meeting they handled went like a dream.

Or like Little Me. Whatever.

Alpha male as a concept was one of those easy things for the public to grasp. However, like most complex things, all the public got was a rudimentary understanding of a concept in its infancy.

Today, the concept of Alpha male is much more complex and not as black and white as was once thought. Quite often in nature, Alpha's are cuckolded by younger males or even androgynous ones. Also, species like baboons and chimpanzees often rotate Alphas who obtain the positions by making alliances with a strong female. They also tend to die much younger.

You should have removed the whole thing since it's plagarized from a copyrighted website.

I see an alpha male as man a man works hard for what he has. A man takes the lead in situations, from his career to in the dating arena. A man who is responsible and accountable for all of his actions. He is a protector but not a bully or abuser. He is strong both physcially, mentally and emotionally.  Although I deal with typically men, I do not think that only men can have alpha personalities.

I NEVER claimed it was MY definiation of what an alpha male in the animal kingdom was. It was a general defiition. Get over it, people copy definitions all the time on here.

This post is started due to some questions and thoughts brought up in my rant.

Alpha male is a term used in describing any group or society of animals that live closely together and have a dominant leader. Alpha dogĀ is often used in both domesticated breeds of dogs and in wolf societies to express the leadership characteristics of the dog to which all other dogs defer. There are also alpha females or leading females in many pack animal societies, with the alpha female having dominance over all females in the pack and possibly some of the lower beta males or omega males.

In human societies alpha male can mean very different things.

So how do YOU define the term alpha male?

Greetings DaddysInkedSlut:

Definitively speaking an alpha male knows his role as a man is worthy and that his status is unquestionable while his significance remains undoubted. His value is not ever thought of as diminished. He never apologizes for his natural dominance or his ability to control and command others through his inborn ability to be a relentless leader in everything that he sets his mind to achieve.

It's not a "general definition".  It's a piece by an author, who deserves crediting for it.

Please go back and source it in your OP.  That way the author can at least drive their web traffic up.
