What I want to know is - where is my BDSM dictionary that gives me an absolute, incontravertible definition as to what 'alternative', Dominant' and 'submissive' actually means? I paid $8.99 for that sucker!

Status: offline 		Sadly, idiots who think that they're vampires have been around for a long while now, even before Mark Rhein Hagen started publishing his games in the early '90s. As most of them are goths, and there's a lot of goths who like to act like they're a bit kinky because they like the look of fetishwear and bondage gear, despite being very vanilla indeed, you get a few of these cretins who do that as well.

If you've only seen one person who IDs as a vampire, you must not be looking. They've been around for quite awhile and I've met several. Somewhat identify as one myself.

To be fair... this could simply be art imitating life imitating art.

It's be theorized that the notion of vampires drinking stems from a condition that causes people to carve iron and, hence, greatly enjoy - and benfit - from the drinking of other's blood. In the modern days, this really isn't a problem as they can pop iron pills but back in the day, it was more trouble.

And, in my experience with the goths, it's less that they want to look kinky and more that they want to ruffle feathers. And some of them really are kinky and really do know how to blister an ass. Oh good times...
