unless it's Holly's meatloaf....then it's a little dish that is considered a cross between a biohazard and deadly weapon!

go ahead...make fun of Holly's meatloaf...especially when I use mine for target practice..

soul2share -> RE: Aspects/things i find annoying about this board (8/4/2010 5:37:21 AM)

Well see, Shar, we're not slighting your meatloaf...it's just that we have PROOF that Holly's meatlof is a killer!

Maybe we can have a meatlof cook-off between the two of you for the top honors?  [:)]

Hey...that is Gordan!

Anytime I cook, something goes wrong.

Sample...overcooked the chicken Sunday...wait, that was mom cooking...I called it blacken chicken to save her mind.

soul2share -> RE: Aspects/things i find annoying about this board (8/4/2010 5:47:43 AM)

That's why I tend to do my chicken in a crock pot.....you can't burn it (well, MOST cooks can't burn anything.....you or Holly, well......)and it always comes out tender.  I have 3 crock pots, and use every one of them!

1) The phrase, "side of the kneel". i seriously cringe every time i come across it.

2) "s-type" and "D-type": this is so not clever. you are not abbreviating sub or dom, you are extending them. idiocy.

3) along those lines, people who capitalize things for the "D-type" (i.e. it is My birthday... or even worse... it is O/our plan): it is hard for Me to take these people seriously.

4) moderation: not the actual moderators, but the system in general. the whole approval requirement is unique to this board in my experience, and i think it is fairly obvious why other boards dont go this route.

5) moderation: the actual moderators. ugh. ugh. ugh. ive been on all kinds of boards. the best ones have minimal moderation. people say "i thank the moderators for volunteering their time"... the irony is the board would be better without their thumbprint on it.

6) the fact you can't post a poll on any of the boards without it being moved.

The last 2 don't bother me but everything you posted here annoys the shit out of me too.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Aspects/things i find annoying about this board (8/4/2010 6:07:07 AM)

Meatloaf. UGH. It's meatballs made into shapes. Invented to stretch costly meat to feed a family. MORE FOR EVERYONE ELSE!!

Oh hating...hm, well the mobile version fails, I can't repy to mail, get smilies, etc. I hate self important narcissistic twatwaffles who don't provide enough laughs OR insight. But that is easy to avoid, I just don't read their posts. I get a gigglesnort out of my friends' responses, though.

ET Fix the egregious typos I did on the blackberry. Remind me to put my glasses on, mmkay?

Elisabella -> RE: Aspects/things i find annoying about this board (8/4/2010 6:08:34 AM)

meat loaf is fucking disgusting and I would only eat it if I were starving. even the name sounds fucking disgusting.

It's pretty selfish of you to create this thread, as it seems you want to incite in us the same miserable mind set you possess. The majority of the posters here can come up with a thing or two that we dont care for also, but we choose to overlook those in order to enjoy our time here. Im not saying you have no right to your feelings, some are actually shared, but negativity attracts negativity, which is perhaps why the majority of your posts seem to come under "attack".
Why not start a "What I Like About" thread as well? Find your positives and focus on them. It will do you good.

This!

DarkSteven -> RE: Aspects/things i find annoying about this board (8/4/2010 6:26:26 AM)

OP, you're not required to like it here.  Nor is the forum required to change itself so you do like it.  That's kinda like a do-me sub trying to top the entire site from the bottom.

Hell, I'm a massively Domly Dom, dripping with testosterone, and I still don't order the site around.

mnottertail -> RE: Aspects/things i find annoying about this board (8/4/2010 6:27:18 AM)

I find it heineously annoying on this board that I ask for a blowjob and I don't get one.

1) The phrase, "side of the kneel". i seriously cringe every time i come across it.

>>Don't like it? Skip it.

2) "s-type" and "D-type": this is so not clever. you are not abbreviating sub or dom, you are extending them. idiocy.

>> They are however abbreviating dominant and submissive. A "sub" is a sandwich.

3) along those lines, people who capitalize things for the "D-type" (i.e. it is My birthday... or even worse... it is O/our plan): it is hard for Me to take these people seriously.

>> It is T/their relationship, not yours. When you have a relationship she can structure things any way she wants (obviously within Your guidlines).

4) moderation: not the actual moderators, but the system in general. the whole approval requirement is unique to this board in my experience, and i think it is fairly obvious why other boards dont go this route.

>> I found it very interestesting that while you were on moderation very few of your posts were allowed. It seems to me that either you just like "being difficult" or you really don't care enough about being here to want to follow the rules.
In the first case, I really wish you luck in finding a mistress. Most D-types don't want someone who is difficult. In the second case, I suspect it is about wanting to have things on your terms. Refer back to the first case.

5) moderation: the actual moderators. ugh. ugh. ugh. ive been on all kinds of boards. the best ones have minimal moderation. people say "i thank the moderators for volunteering their time"... the irony is the board would be better without their thumbprint on it.

>> Had you been willing to follow the rules you would not have been moderated. I can understand your logic in wanting a place where you can be unpleasant to your heart's desire, and since that is your wish, please go find one. Most of us disagree with the last part of your statement and the types of posts that put you on moderation to begin with are precisely the reason why.

6) the fact you can't post a poll on any of the boards without it being moved.

>>That has already been answered.

7) that anyone can reply to a thread targeted to a specific orientation in the "ask a master/mistress/submissive" forums.

>>That is the way it is, and we like it that way, whether that is your preference or not. Skip the posts that annoy you.

8) the comedians: there is a certain contingent that tries to turn every thread into amateur comedy showcase. (see the korean women thread on the ask a master forum)

>> And so... it is only okay when you attempt being the comedian? Again, being the exact center of the universe will not work out very well when you are trying to be an s-type to your D-type; nor will it work out so well as you try to make your way in the real world.

edit: grammar, clarity etc.

Personally, I like moderated fora. Moderation does help to keep the flow of the discussions relatively on topic and within the site's guidelines and/or within the local legal jurisdiction's laws.

I don't know what your online experience has been but as for mine, I have participated on a lot of discussion boards; some before the age of the Internet as it currently exists. The boards cover the gamut of topics from alternative lifestyles (such as CollarChat) to highly technical advocacy groups (such as the old FidoNet "Unix vs. Linux vs. BSD" netmail discussions/train wrecks). Most of those have been moderated and for those that weren't, I made my exit. Moderation keeps the personal insults and attacks from overshadowing the topic of discussion.

All I can suggest is that if you find the moderation level here annoying, then perhaps you haven't been to any really heavily moderated fora or discussion boards. I find the level of moderation here to be kind of on the lighter side.

YMMV.

BoiJen -> RE: Aspects/things i find annoying about this board (8/4/2010 7:31:49 AM)

I make my meatloaf with some spices, Worcestershire, and Steak sauce with Italian seasoned bread crumbs...and egg. Very meaty and pretty tasty. However, the only way to go is super low fat ground meat or ground turkey breast without the skin. Otherwise it's too fatty, falls apart, and the flavor sucks.

boi
