Toppingfrmbottom -> RE: HOW MANY OF YOU HAVE OR DO ATTEND MUNCHES? (8/9/2010 12:58:02 PM)

I have stood up and just randomly stated taking pictures, but if it's going to be of something at someone's table or them* Ie I thought their hairdo was fabulous, do you mind if I take a picture of it, I won't put it on the net I just want to keep apicture refernce of it* I always ask permission.

I have walked up to complete strangers and said "excuse me I know this is probably weird but the light shinning through your cup on the table makes a beautiful or unique pattern, would you mind me photographing the c up?"

People have always said no they don't mind.

I wouldn't do it at a munch though, since the rules say no photography so I leave my camera at home.

Attend them on a regular basis and the classes and workshops offered by our local dungeon The Woodshed. The munches are held in a public place so fetish clothing is frowned upon.

Do people really need classes and workshops to learn what they already know they are into? Tell me how a Dom could benifit by submitting to the teachings of another males belief system and if this other male is getting this knowledge lets say from a book. Who is the author? The author would then become the ALPHA Dom if everyone is listening to his teachings of how you should or  should not be. Do let me know what exactly is taught at these classes and is their a Fee? At the woodshed in Orlando what is the FEE for single females vs couples or singles males? Is Photography banned from munches and round table meetings?  He or she would be in public space and free to take pictures of whatever he or she wanted to. Just a few question I am curious about. Thanks for the detailed return response I am sure you will give me in detail. Munches are not meat markets are they?

. As to you question about " He or she would be in public space and free to take pictures of whatever he or she wanted to." as it has been mentioned previously, most munches are at public restaurants. How often have you seen someone stand up and start randomly taking pictures of strangers?

I hope she will forgive me for speaking for her, but I don't think the problem so much is that they all knew each other, it's that when every one knows every one else, they can really leave new people or un familar people out.

Or make them feel unwanted, or intimidated, since they're all grouped together in a "huddle" if you'll excuse the lack of a better term, talking about friends family things that all have done together or something, and it can be very formidable to try to break into a group where every one is so buddy buddy because you have a long history with them.

It's been my experince that groups of people with a long standing history together are clickish and don not make it very easy or comfortable for outsiders to break into the group.

Also there was one person who didn't like the munches because people already knew each other, which was kind of silly to Me.  (Sorry Red, but people are going to know each other at a munch they have attended for years.)

If you can find one post that has ever been written by Me with the "I'm a Goddess" theory, I'd probably fall out of My chair laughing.

It was you that turned your own thread into a debate on the outlandish possibilities on what could happen at a munch.  (I seriously laughed at the button camera bit ala James Bond to infiltrate a munch and get pictures.)  The problem, I think, is that you wanted to come here and hold a negative opinion of kink establishments and groups.  Sorry, but it didn't turn out that way.

The fact that you had to stoop to name calling and rudeness didn't help your hope of showing how terrible us munch attending types are.  By the way, the folks who said they don't attend munches are "forum regulars" too.  How come it was only a problem that we were regulars when we didn't agree with you?

You are SO sexy when you get all as a matter of fact! As if I am going to go OH of COURSE why did I not SEE that one sided point of VIEW! Don't you have something domestic to be doing?

You're welcome.

Yes sometimes people's comments do get overlooked in a particularly busy thread.

It's a shame, more hosts should host their event at handicapped or special needs accessible locations. As it is, even if they are a location that is handicapped friendly most the time, their bathrooms are still difficult to get into if you're for example a wheel chair, or on crutches, and the bathrooms are still either strictly male, or strictly female. Places need more family oriented bathrooms, where any gender can walk into the bathroom with any gender, if they require assistance in getting into the bathroom, or what goes on in the bathroom.

angelikaJ -> RE: HOW MANY OF YOU HAVE OR DO ATTEND MUNCHES? (8/9/2010 2:22:20 PM)

You seem to be all confused.

I have never been to a munch.

I do know that munches at a restaurant are NOT the same as the stuff that happens at a dungeon.

I also know that a public dungeon is different from a private play party.

You seem to think that all people into BDSM public play are also swingers.

(Not true)

From all of this confusion, everyone can see you had issues with basic set theory.

It's ok. No one cares that you suck at that. Really.

You have bigger issues.

Clearly you think you have already outgrown this playgroup and should probably go someplace else.

I know you spent a lot of time setting this thread up and I am sorry that I am not sorry that it did not work out as you had hoped.

Angelika, I loves ya.

Just saying. [:D][:D][:D]

OP, your presentation sucks hairy sweaty balls, as do your logic processing skills.

Munches, on the other hand, are pretty cool. I've just started going to some in a new city. I usually have a good time, but then I'm cute and smiley which is kind of cheating in the 'making friends quickly' stakes.

Something about you gives me the impression you lose out in the 'making friends quickly' stakes.

Still haven't answered my question? Come on, all your talk, you had to at least gone to one club.[8|]

Now you are nit picking my words......when you begin to convey your meaning perfectly every single time you speak then start disecting mine....I asumed it was a given that ALL the time would not be taken literally or that would be every second of everyday that is absurd and  you know it "Every Club"  I will correct that error for you Every Club I have been to has had both swinger and BDSM hours. Is that better for you now that I have  explained in better detail? Lets just go with no there has never been a raid on any BDSM club in the history of BDSM and anyone who has told you this has occured is wrong including myself. there you go.( tho it has happened)

How many clubs have you actually been to?

I don't think your average host would be a good judge of accessibility of a location.  While restaurants are required to comply to a minimum standard, it doesn't mean they necessarily are easily accessible.  Wouldn't someone who is on crutches or in a wheelchair be better equipped to make recommendations?

People have already answered your question, it's redundant to ask again.

The leaders who start and host the event could of chosen a better suited restaurant for those of their groups members who may be handicapped, so I'm not sure why they wouldn't be a good judge of accessibility, unless you mean a non handicapped person could not accurately judge just what "easily accessible" means to the handicapped.

Hey, did you miss my post, neighbor? If you did, you mighty want to scroll back and check it out. I suggested a local munch in Roseville that's 40 feet from a bus stop, handicap accessible, and has a bathroom on the same floor as the dining area. I don't know if you've ever been to the Minnesota Bondage Munch, but it sounds as though it meets your needs.
