People say that, often. That "police raid these clubs all the time."

I'm curious, can anyone share some links/sources to back this up? I only recall hearing about one club that was raided, and that was 12 years ago. I haven't heard of this being an issue for any of the clubs I know of. Am I just naive? Is this really a problem? Or, is it just one of those things alarmists say, to lend their point some vague validation?

We do take credit cards, however we compensate for the extra fees by increasing the charge for your purchase by a small amount. The upcharge depends on the dollar amount, for example, an entrance fee of $20 would now cost $21. If you would like to purchase drinks throughout the night, we can hold onto your credit card and run a tab for you so that everything can be charged at the same time.

Very interesting website. upcharging for a CC transaction have been shutting business's down left and right..at minimum getting their CC privileges revoked.I like the "club" loop hole very nice.

Then the people you speak of are correct. to back them up? Why would they lie? and yes if you did a search of back issues of the clubs area that are no longer operating you may find story's of the club shut down few operate with lic. The one I spoke of I did not give the name intentionally but those who have been awhile know which one I am speaking of. The raids go something like this...sooo I have heard sooo the story goes. much like anything else that is infiltrated they pose as a member of the bdsm community tipped off by someone  of the location show up with fake ID fill out required forms mingle with the people attending watching for illegal activity. again so I have heard.when enough data is gathered the date is set and SURPRIZE the members there that night get a FREE BONUS  domination session! Yes many do get raided and these people who tell you so are telling the truth. It is a taboo lifestyle I call it a life choice styles come and go. I have yet to hear of a raid wherer the club is reopened the following week....here in orlando a swingers club was bulldozed flat.  pool hot tub TV's the whole club which would not be known as anything more than a vacant building without insider info. So anything that does not mesh with vanilla standards not just bdsm clubs are at risk of being raided. with the exception of those who have their clubs on private property...the cove nudist colony has yet to be bothered. over in kissimmee

Yes, but only if they're in a restaurant with healthy options, a potluck or picnic, or a non food related event.  Munches are fun and sociable, but I'm not eating nasty junk food, which is all they typically serve in American or family style restaurants.

Actually, LadyPact, the website does contain the current address. It is zoned for commercial business...in fact the owner recently advertised his tour to the local fire and police chiefs to make sure he was operating under the proper conditions and requirements by law. The Woodshed does a good job of trying to stay transparent.

Recently, SirTop and slaveBonnie did their Service and Cutting workshops and in Jan. MsKitty and I did our whip demo there. They have something going every weekend and tend to cut a deal when there's multiple events happening in one afternoon and evening.

Next month they're hosting a rather novel idea: A TNG takeover. Pulling from TNG groups and similar age restricted groups, statewide, it's all about teaching for "TNG" by "TNG".

Well then there you have it....how would it work out for me clearly very well. You answered you own question and I see you evaded my other questions....here you go I value your opinion do enlighten me...
police raid these clubs all the time over the years...there was one in kissimmee across from a skating rink that was raided and the owners faced some charges for having video cameras in the ceiling concealed they said for security. Now this couple was up and running for several years they were not lic. nor did they advertise either. Once the raid went down everyone of their friends turned on them Oh my GOD how DARE they video record US! doing what we were paying them to do live! should the owners of the club be held accountable for video recording for security and not commercial gain?should they have posted video security on premises? or do what they did and kept them discreetly out of site as to not make anyone uncomfortable? How do they win? How do they make everyone  happy? If it was an unlic. clown college they would not have been raided in the first place and the clowns would happily be making balloon animals. So do answer my questions and I will look into the wood sheds exact business lic. to see if I would be able to shoot in their or not. I do not have that answer I did not look into it but I will now. I will get back to you on the cans and cants.



If you bothered actually talking to any representation at the Woodshed, you'd find that the owner just recently gave the police chief a tour of the facilities and explained what they're doing. The owner asked if he needed to change anything to remain inside the bounds of the law and was informed that he was just fine.

Go ahead. Keep making excuses to not show up locally. See how much credit that gets you.

Yep.  I admitted to doing a quick search.  More in interest of the photography question than anything else.

It would be My opinion that the establishment would be better off posting they have video security.  That way, if anyone is afraid that the person running the establishment (and hoping to make a profit in doing so) is not able to trust them, they can choose not to attend.  It allows everyone to make an informed choice.  I don't know anything about the story you mention.  Perhaps you could reference it with a link.

So far, OP, the only clubs you have mentioned with links is one that is out of the country and one that is a swinger's club.  I'm not going to debate swingers clubs with you.  I don't attend them.  Your original question was on munches, during which is what I am basing My answers for in My experience.

To the best of My knowledge, none of the clubs that I have ever attended have been raided.  (I've had police show up twice at private events due to noise.)  The train of thought that you want to be outlandish with the harping of 'it could happen/it happens all of the time' could go on for infinity, but it just isn't what happens at the run of the mill munch.  If you're worried about it, stay home.

Unfortunately, none of your links actually addressed the situation I was asking about specifically. I apologize for not being more clear.

Your links refer to a Pro Dominatrix dungeon that advertised their business, A porn business in Budapest and a swingers club. One link didn't work.

None of these articles you refer to, have anything to do with BDSM Clubs or BDSM Parties.

There is a difference, although I accept that you don't seem to draw the same distinction that I do.

I'm still interested in any links to any actual (factual) news coverage that might involve actual BDSM clubs/parties that are raided.

No, I'm not trying to disrespect you, or disregarding your opinion. I'm genuinely interested in finding out if anyone knows of any actual/factual historical references that can be cited. BDSM has been around a long time. In any given city, on any given weekend throughout America - there are BDSM parties taking place. I just don't recall, in my decade plus experience, ever hearing of any that had been raided.

Pro businesses, porn businesses and swingers clubs excluded.

I have never heard of a raid on a munch. I do find it curious tho that the "wood shed" is fine with photography yet your casual dress "munch" would forbid such a thing, when right on the woodshed website I read full nudity. I can only presume these same individuals that go to the munch would show up at the "woodshed" here. Tho I have a hard time believing parading the chief of police through the place and the chief saying oh you are fine. I would LOVE to see that statement on record.watch the woodshed I expect a raid to be coming within a years time or less.

There WAS one inside the basement of Club Voodoo. Raided by police and lots of people arrested.

    Every club that has been BDSM or swinger at some point in the week they cater to one or the other. Kinks in south FL. would have friday nights for BDSM and Sat was swingers. location was in a strip mall with newspaper in its windows unmarked facility.

    While this MIGHT be true in some cases, it is simply not true in EVERY case. I've started/ran a couple BDSM clubs, so I can say this with certainty.

    I appreciate you trying to find somethign, anything, in context, to validate your own words. It does seem to be as I thought. These raids on BDSM Clubs, that happen all the time, are a BDSM Urban Myth.

    Not sure where the whole raid on munches thing came from though, that's just absurd on an entirely new level of absurdity.
