I am not obese!

Seriously, do we need names and labels?

What ever happened to just saying hi?

No no not *you*silly, I told you I'd just laugh if you said that.

Hi works for *hot* guys quite well- my ladyparts can attest to that. *These* guys however, have given up so they're just desperate and angry.

Strangely, I have rarely had adverse comments here or in life when I refer to a female as Lass and yet when I refer to a bloke as Lad or Laddy unless they are British or specifically a Scot I get all sorts of testosterone induced responses. I remember well some cases when I have addressed the odd poster as either "My dear chap" or "Old chap" as being derogative or talking down to people. It is the way I talk normally. I still get funny looks at time when out when I comment "Jolly good show". I remember someone asking RavenMuse if people talked like I do in the UK and he replied that the only place they did was at Polo matches. But then too I was blasted to referring to a lass her as a bonza shieler, a typical Australian-ism certainly from the days of my youth and a jolly good compliment too.

You're just lucky you're not American, since we don't have *any* cool sayings like 'jolly good' or 'chip chip cheerio' or lass' or 'bonza shiela'. Ebonix can be fun though, it's especially entertaining when rich white nerds use it.

Actually it's "Pip pip, cherrio, old chap!" (or old bean), not Chip, chip.

If a girl is on the chubby side, comfort her by saying that everything is okay that she is a chubby girl. Chubby girls like to be reassured that their chubbiness is not a deal breaker.

Comfort the chubby girl by saying that you have been with chubbier girls. Chubby girls like to hear that kind of shit.

Also they love to be called "chubby girls."

oh DomiGuru, or Domfucius if you will, what if the girl is on the skinny side?

IronBear -> RE: Don't use girl has an opener (8/4/2010 7:40:20 PM)

When in doubt I find M'Lady works quite well. It works better if I raise her hand to my lips and kiss it too.. (in real life), or raise my hat to her on greeting.

Mention how much you found that Karen Carpenter girl to be very sexy. Then be sure to mention that the girl might want to consider losing just a little more weight because her (insert any body part here)______________ is a just a tad bit too large.

That throws the girl off balance and let's the girl know that you have her best interests at heart.

You're always a great one for that, Domfucius. Such a nurturer, you!

Jeffff -> RE: Don't use girl has an opener (8/4/2010 7:55:10 PM)

Why don't you and your log come to Chicago?

We will say things like.." She was a good girl" as we heave your lifeless body into the dumpster.

Then you say something to the effect that 'Thank God you showed up, I've been a fat chick magnet for far too long!"

I am charismatic that way.

Oh, Jeffffff!  Such a way with words!  What a charmer!

I would just like to appologise to all the Ladies I have called girl I did not mean any disrespect. I simply thought it was better that some of the name you call yourslves eg slutwhore ect.

I have never understand the usage of the term for women that are clearly beyond adolescence. It always struck me as condescending and indicative of posturing and poor breeding. I'm willing to bet those that fancy the word don't address women outside of kink in that manner.

I'd rather be called girl than Ma'am.
I hate when the kid working the register in Shoprite calls me Ma'am. Fuck.

You and me both, kiddo!

I am nothing of not consistent.

What are you trying to say?  Are you trying to say that I've had too much to drink and can't figure out the words just within my tongue's reach of a VERY witty and clever comeback to this statement of consistency?  How dare you, Sir!  Them's fightin' words!  Or non-words, as the case may be.

I agree, it's one of those names that makes me shiver with disgust and always seems to be from the guy that thinks it's appropriate to invade my personal space and put his hand around my waste when talking to me...I call that move the creeper, I always say something extremely bitchy, and always feel the need to quickly leave and disinfect......[:'(]

Haha I should be getting to southern Illinois in mid September, there's an hour layover in Chicago....I doubt you'd have time to murder me though. Too bad for you!

I actually think it would be awesome to meet some wacky internet people in real life. You and Laurell, would be cool. Domiguy? Now an hour layover would probably be enough time to murder me and leave me body in aforementioned dumpster.

marie2 -> RE: Don't use girl has an opener (8/4/2010 8:45:19 PM)

Definitely not a good opener. But after I start developing an affection for a man, I love to be called girl.

what exactly is the criteria utilized to determine whether an affection might be developing? If he smells better than the grill or the cash register that he is working over?
