Do people really hook up here? I have met some men from CM... but mostly men I have known before...from a long time ago. Have you met anyone from CM? Is there a magic word? Thanks.

I have but it ain't easy. 1. I went to a specific cm party (the Calibirthday) and met lotsa people there. All for the first time. 2. I have seen profile pics here and then met people at local groups and recognized them from their pics. Great icebreaker. 3. I HAVE met people after only chatting with them here and then proceeding to meet. I met my ex sub kat that way. But it does not happen often. If your main goal is to meet others, I'd suggest just going to local meets.

In fact anyone listed as a friend on my profile on the other side are people I've met in person as I only add someone if I have met and know them personally. No magic formula as BonesFromAsh said, just be yourself and weed through the hundreds of people completely content to live out a fantasy from behind the safety of their computer screen.

Yes, met a ton of guys here. No one that I wanted to be with though. Not yet, at least.

I met my late dom here - and spent five blissful years with him, so yes, people do meet people and have successful relationships from here. sighloved that man!

I met quite a few guys from here...some ok...some not so great, one a real nightmare and my long-term-(though distance)-date Mr. A (A stands for Adorable, though sometimes it can also be changed into Mr. Arse...depending on his behaviour [8\|]). Mr. A picked me up after a meeting from hell and we met last year and are going to meet again this year. In between we stayed in contact and if it is going to happen then at some point it will be easier to spend more time together...time will tell...just depends what gets faster to me...my visa or him getting his arse up [8\|] And btw, all my dates were with guys from abroad as I have no interest anymore to date over here as I won't stay over here...(and don't even dare to risk to have an oh so domly man in my luggage who then gets homesick...) Mr. A met me over here, the others I met in their countries Canada and the US...

Yes, I've met and had relationships with people from 'here'. Some lengthier than others. Some that involved distance, others not. Hoping to do it again sometime. Jeff

Yes. I have met many people from this site. Some were utter asshats, some have become lifelong friends. There's really no substitute for getting out in the community, but there are friends to be made here.

I met my former Master here, and my previous Dominant has an account here, though I met him on a different site. When I was dating last year, I met over a dozen guys, and had zero fakes and zero flakes.[:D] They weren't all compatible with me, obviously, but no-one looked completely different from their photo, lied about their age, didn't show up, etc.

Agrees with Lady Hib. I also met several off this site and still stay in contact with a few of them. Several months ago, I was contacted by another though here and we have met and will be meeting again in a few days, with a possibility of it becoming more than just friendship.

Yep..in fact, I've met both Lady H and Wolf2Bear, at a wedding for two other CM'ers. It just depends on the amount of effort you want to expend...I flew back home from Phoenix to meet the 4 I met, and it was worth it!

I met my last dom on alt. He gave me the link to this site before we met. We met soon after I joined this site and were involved off and on for 4 years....so I do not know if that is considered "meeting off CM". I recently met someone else off CM that seemed very promising as a prospect. But since our first date I have been out of town working and visiting family. We are supposed to see each other again, but I am thinking it may not happen for a few reasons I do not want to go into here. But he is an attractive, intelligent, classy, uber successful person. People meet from here all of the time, I would suggest you look up the Positive Experiences forum to get a feel for how these meetings went. A magic word? Well, the magic word I use is "yes" when they ask if I wanna meet[;)]. It is not a word I say very often.....

Why can't you hook up here? Last I heard something like 15% of all relationships in the US are starting on the internet nowadays. I think of it like this: + You get to meet lots of people from lots of walks of life and lots of geographic locations. - People don't generally behave well on the internet which imposes a barrier to "next step" activities. The internet is just a tool. It's all in how you use it and whether or not your tracking it's strengths and weaknesses and using them to advantage.

At last count, I have met over 75 people from CM in person. Lots of them are message boards folks, and lots of them turned out to be fellow members of the local dungeon I belong to. I've been to some gatherings that brought together people from the boards, and have hosted some of the same, and have had the pleasure of having some of the people who have posted here as my guests. [:)] Just step out and say hi and I'm sure that you'll be making some real life CM buddies in no time.
