Here is the thing, you came on this thread swinging, and you got smacked back. You are saying that if we want to integrate the forums we shouldn't post here? What you are saying is that no one is allowed to an opinion but you, and if we do not agree with you we should post elsewhere... I reject that notion... BTW... there is opinion and then there is fact. You are allowed your own opinion, but you are not allowed your own facts. All too often you present opinion as it is fact and you reject facts because they do not agree with your opinion... ideally we should support our opinions with facts, not the other way around... Hey, its all good, I accept people the way they are, and on occasion I enjoy your posts... but when you take a swing at someone, just make sure they aren't better armed than you are... it is good advice

The thing is julia, these days I can find "facts" to substantiate almost any OPINION in the world. I will NEVER come here armed with the most facts I can find on any subject, nor will I ever put in that type of time, because I don't come here to do dissertations or research. I come here to chat, debate and share opinions. The thing about you and domi, is you are attempting to "change" people's opinions. You can present information, that I may or may not want to consider, but my opinion will be changed if and only I want my opinion to change. I come here for fun, and to share. I don't CARE whether you agree with me or not, there are many here I never agree with, but we are able to RESPECT each other's opinions. At the end of the day, that is what carries the most weight with many around here. Even if you are right, if I find you unmannerable/and or rude, you will never change my opinion. Goodnight

She said if we so not like things the way they are, we shouldn't post here, since I am one of the people who has made the point on more than one occasion that I do not like the way things are, I suppose I am one of "those" people who shouldn't post here... Look up a thread I made in off topic about the oil spill, and you will see that my thoughts on this matter are nothing new. I find it annoying that off topic is not a place to have a reasonable discussion about news stories because they end up here with a bunch of fighting between a few posters

Thats just what i pointed out to the Mods yesterday. If we want it to change, we have to start reporting it. I get tired of the snipping and slamming on the boards. I, personally, am making an effort not to be reduced to that anymore.

Well, yeah, it is best to endeavor to be a part of the solution rather than the problem. I have one rule, i will make a few replies, and when it becomes clear to me that 1. I am just repeating the same points over and over or 2. the other person has no intention of discussing things with me in a reasonable productive manner... I bail on that discussion. I will hit that thread and not even read that person's posts on the subject... they become persona non Grata

Blocking is always an option. Hopefully, if more people utilize that option, with either the hide feature or selective ignore, the rest will get the message.

I do not need to block someone... I am capable of passing their posts without actually reading them on one thread and reading them on another. It isn't like I don't want to read them EVER again, I just don't want to argue with that person on one thread. I have no one blocked on this side. I have enough self control to skip a post or not respond to one even if I do read it.
