Have opinions been changed? Never.

I'm skeptical of your claim.

So am I....But it is really cool to make wild and grand sweeping statements. Subs eat that kind of shit up.

Subby girls of CM:..."Wow, did you see what domiguy wrote? He seems so confident and such an authoritarian figure...I bet he would be fun to blow!"

That's how it works.

I have even changed my opinion once I have researched a topic further.

Very few out here possess such a capability. I am a God. Blow me.

Nothing is more embarrassing than pride of ignorance.

Than you be embarrassed Jeff, cause what you think along with many others, does not phase me.

I can always tell so much about another person, by the way he jumps in and attacks someone on a thread that his Master Domi started.

You are calling me a sockpocket?
Go worship the gator creature, and talk to my hand.

Again, I come here for ME.
That is the part you just don't get.
You can't change me or my opinions, and I don't give a rats ass what you think about me or my opinions.

Get over yourself!
I have said this at least 10 times, so I am done here!
Have a great day!

As a God, I can tell you actually care about what others think of you and how you are perceived.

You wouldn't have repeated yourself ten times or replied with such a lengthy post when Jeffff typed out a mere eight words.

also, unlike you, we are following the rules. marini no one hear has attacked you personally, they have attacked your opinions and posts.

Your posts do tend to make you look like a popeye sock puppet. Popeye is that poster who prides himself on not utilizing one source for his news but can tell you this morning what Howie Carr had for dinner last night.

You will be mine. that is not an opinion it is a fact. Cuz, I read it somewhere.

Actually I think I like the new rules. All we need in an opinion.

None of us can be wrong....ever!

This will save a lot of time, we will never need to goggle again.

When someone posts something silly, we need only say, you are wrong!

When they ask why?, you can say, " because i think so!"

Well...........when my children were young I used to tell them "Because I said so and I am the mom, I am the boss, so that is the end of the discussion!"

I hated it when my mom would do this to me, and I swore I would never do it to my kid.. and then one day, when he was about 5-ish, it slipped out unbidden from my mouth after a hard day at work "Because I told you so, and that is the way it is!"... I then shut my mouth, went into my room and cried... I had become my own mother.

I don't have to do any research to have an O P I N I O N.
lol, you DO the research!
You can come here pop in, give your O P I N I O N, and pop out.
Some of us do, have other things to do in life than research information to satisfy YOU.
If you need more information, than guess what?
YOU do the fucking research, and learn something!

When you express an opinion as a fact, and it's bogus, then yeah, you're going to hear about it.

I enjoy reading LadyE's posts, because it's interesting to see how the various British systems work.  Her debates with pahunk and RealOne were fun to read.

While you really are not likely to ever get anyone to change their position on the spot even when you've proven their position demonstrably wrong, what you and others have said over time does affect them and these positions do change. The process of deconversion generally takes years but it does happen, the growing number of non-theists speaks for itself.

I like LadyE myself, but can you really call any shouting match involving pa or RealGone a debate?

I remember when the P & R forum was created. I thought it was a good idea. I still think so. It's like a low-lying drain and holding tank that reduces the amount of sludge in other forums.

You and yours would have been a great addition to the festivities.

Your conservative ways would have allowed you to become immediately immersed in the activities at hand.

After you had gone missing for several days, Shore would later recall that he saw you enter a porta potty and for some reason you were tapping your feet.

As one of the bozos who actually did spend a few hours doing some research for some long winded posts, I actually find this forum to be both entertaining and informative. I have something of a distrust of the media- they report stuff that sells newspapers, deodorant, or absurdly price cell phone service, whereas if somebody cares enough to take keyboard in hand and type- you're actually getting a real persons viewpoint. True- the viewpoint often may be an echo of a media head, but not always. While its rare to find someone on the opposite side of the political spectrum that can justify his/her beliefs with facts, learning about what the people who disagree with you believe in is really interesting to me. Plus, at the end of the day, it's either one country or one planet and we've got to share it with each other. Understanding where people are coming from is helpful.

I've also gotten a few laughs out of the stuff that gets posted- reminds me of the line from John Carpenters movie The Thing , "You have gotta be fuckin' kidding me...."

And domiguy- I've gotten more people checking out my profile for my posts than anything else....I just wish that a few of them were closer....True, the dates I've gotten from CM have been from direct e-mails, but it's nice to have something to do while hanging on the site waiting for the reply that never comes....

And perhaps deserving of its own thread (or maybe it's been asked and answered already) Does female supremacist always translate to rude, self centered bitch or is this just a function of my limited exposure and too small a sample size?

Cheers to all,

Sam

Sadly, Sam, I don't think ill mannered tops are exclusively a female thing: there's plenty of deeply unpleasant male dominants I can't imagine anybody wanting to be topped by clogging up the forums as well.
