Really can you produce that record? Because you haven't yet. Or are you just babbling. What evidence is there that the Murpheesboroo case isn't an insurance fraud? Or potentially something else.

Why dont you provide evidence that the case in Murfreesboro arson case is a case of insurance fraud or was done by the Muslims who are wanting to build the center. Considering the protests and acts of vandalism against the site and the Muslim community center you are going to claim it was a case of insurance fraud.

Figures.

There have been recent cases of vandalism in the California Central Valley at the Madera Islamic Center.

"Imam Abdullah Salem arrived at the Madera Islamic Center on Tuesday to find a pair of menacing signs, including one that read "Wake up America, the enemy is here."

It was the latest in a series of incidents that the Madera County Sheriff's Department is investigating as hate crimes. On Sunday, a brick nearly smashed a window at the center on Road 26 just outside Madera. Last week, another sign left on the property read "No temple for the god of terrorism."

Signs left at the mosque claimed to be from a group called the "American Nationalist Brotherhood." Sheriff's officials said they hadn't heard of such an organization."

Why would I have to provide evidence for somethign I never said?

You are declaring the results of the investigation, with absolutly no basis for doing so.

I said It might be. and It might be. It could be one of hundreds of things other than what you claim it is. You may be right, but we don't know yet.

Or you could be wrong, like you when went on for pages claiming there was not a mosque being built there.

What point are you trying to make?

Sanity -> RE: Islamophobia in America (8/31/2010 3:41:44 AM)

Its just funny that you should act shocked to find out theres been some vandalism Central California.

Also, with the frequency weve been seeing Leftists creating trouble at Tea Party rallies etc it would be no surprise at all if these "vandals" were found to be linked directly to the California or the Sacramento Democratic headquarters or an arm therof, such as the Communist Party, the Teamsters or the SEIU.

more than likely they are Ron Paul supporters, and the GOP is just in-fighting and cannibalizing itself, but as usual blaming it on some conspiracy.

Lets see, there are an estimated 1.5 BILLION Muslims in the world today. There are an estimated 20 thousand Muslim extremist terrorists. That is 0.00000133333333333% or 1/1millionth of a percentage point.

Now, what other religion promotes violence?

How about President Bush using god as a reason to invade Iraq?

[:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

Your estimate is about 1/100th of mine.

Your last sentence would be MEANINGFUL if Bush was a religion. We all know, however, that only anti-Bush, aka BDS, qualifies as a religion.

What faith do you think is more likely to encourage violence?

mnottertail -> RE: Islamophobia in America (8/31/2010 6:21:15 AM)

You and Andrew McCarthy.

Thanks for the link, willbe. I have been saying since early 2002, when I reread the Koran, that what we call moderates are actually apostates. Glad to see that the "most well-known legal authority in the Muslim world today" agrees with me [:D]

Mr McCarthy had me in agreement until: "There is no moderate Islam in the mainstream of Muslim life, not in the doctrinal sense. There are millions of moderate Muslims who crave reform. "

What he means, of course, is that thee are millions of Muslim apostates, or perhaps just cultural Muslims.

Islam itself is entirely incompatible with tolerance, with Democracy, and with Western ideals of freedom.

It will be awful to watch the crucifixion of Mr McCarthy by the Islamapologists.

Thanks again. Great editorial. People are learning, however slowly.

The reason for the present protests over mosques are on record as being based in religious intolerance. Claims that the mosques would become training grounds for terrorists, Muslim Extremists, or just being against the religion as a whole.

I, for one, am entirely willing to admit being against any group that is as intolerant, sexist, violent, and homophobic as Islam.

The Protestant Reformation enshrined in Christendom the principles of liberty (of conscience), fraternity (no distinction between clergy and laity), and equality (of all before God) which, though seldom consistently put into practice, eventually culminated in bringing down the feudal order in one of history's more prominent examples of the law of unintended consequences.

Yeah...because the whole "Love and forgive one another" schtick is SO incompatible with tolerance, Democracy, and freedom.

Vendaval -> RE: Islamophobia in America (8/31/2010 1:40:59 PM)

Gangsta graffitti in many areas of California is common on storefronts and along freeways, the walls of subdivisions, etc. Nasty messages specifically against a religion at places of worship; churches, temples, synagogues, mosques, etc illustrates the point of this thread.

And I am not surprised that there is a recent increase in such incidents.

jlf1961 -> RE: Islamophobia in America (8/31/2010 2:19:09 PM)

Vendaval, the members of this forum that lean to the right denies the problem, although the Republican Party is passively and sometimes actively anti-Islam.

Beck, Limbaugh and FOX news are all well known for the anti-Islam rants that have been broadcasts, even calling a FOX news investor a terrorist supporter, at least by condemning his charity as supporting terrorism.

I have never denied that there was a problem, I just said it wasn't all republicans who feel this way. I have also pointed out that there are a lot of asshats on the left who are just as racist. But you seem bound and determined to make this all about the right. In doing so you are continuing the cycle of hate that is tearing apart the country.

Then you explain why the Republican party continues to support REPUBLICAN candidates that have denounced Islam, or the rights of Muslims in the United States. Republicans have denounced the Park 51 project AND turned it into a campaign issue.

Lou Ann Zelenik Republican Candidate for 6th congressional district of Tennessee has said she stands with those who oppose building what she calls "an Islamic training center." She says the center is not part of a religious movement, but a political one "designed to fracture the moral and political foundation of Middle Tennessee." source

If the Republican party were not passively supporting the anti-Muslim attitudes that have become part of the conservative campaign points, I would think they would withdrawal support for candidates that were professing such blatantly Islamophobic stands.
