Me again! =^-^=
I got my very first assignment from Master last night, and it was to learn three new cooking recipes for Him before He comes to visit me in December. He wants me to strive for learning the recipes backwards and forwards by the time He gets here. (He said it's perfectly okay if I can't remember them by heart, but I want to do my very best for Him and attempt to remember them.)
My only problem is finding something to cook for Him. Nothing too extravagant, but tasty nonetheless. (I already have seafood gumbo in mind, since my mom's been making that since I was little, and it'd be fairly easy for me to remember how to make it.)
Do you have a meal that you just absolutely love to prepare or have prepared for you that you'd like to share?
I know this is an odd question, but I need to find some other recipe options to make sure that I will make Master happy with some really tasty food. :3

First off, are there any dietary restrictions, either religious or else health-based?

Assuming there aren't, I present

Chicken a la DarkSteven

Get a bunch of boneless, skinless chicken breasts (breast fillets work much better)
Spray a pan with nonstick spray and turn it up to med or med high
Add a 50-50 mix of ranch dressing and salsa
Cook breasts in mix.  If the mix gets low, add more.
When thoroughly cooked, serve.

It tastes great but looks pretty bad.  So dress it up with mandarin orange slices and parsley.
Serve with a salad and some kind of grain dish.

Try a nice lasagna?

The only prob with that is He better like leftovers because you cant make just enough lasagna for 2.  Of course, it IS one of those dishes that is better the next day.

RealSub: I know how to search...I'm doing that on the side. My intention was to find some personal favorites from actual people which may lead me to find some rather original recipes in the process. Something possibly either hard to find or not available on most cooking sites.

I like chicken fried rice.

1-2lbs boneless skinless chicken breast (frozen is the cheapest and you cant tell a diff)
ground ginger
ground garlic
soy sauce
4 cups cooked rice
1-2 carrots
1-2 green onions( I prefer for color and taste but a med to small sized white onion works well)
optional frozen peas
oil
and a extra large pan or wak.

quarter and slice the carrots.

slice the green onion(dice for white onion).

heat oil in the pan(just enough oil to coat the bottom).

cut chicken into 1cm cubes.

bring chicken to a white color in oil.

add veggies.

cook untill carrots start to soften.

add oil to coat bottom again and add the cooked rice.

add ginger and garlic to taste stir(use and good strong spoon).

move everything to one side and add eough oil to coat bottom again.

scramble and cook eggs on open side.

when eggs are fully cooked stir everything.

add 3-4 tbsp of soy sauce stirring alot(soy sauce will burn quickly.)

add more ginger and galic to taste.

this take about 10-20 to prep and about 10 to cook depends on how you prep your rice. I have a good rice cooker and set it up first.

Wow, asking about food around here and not one comment about him eating something off you (or vice versa). Hmph! Here's one I made a while back that had messy potential in that regard. 

Orange Honey Chicken

Chicken (thighs or breast meat)
Orange juice or fresh oranges
Honey
Garlic
Onion
Ginger
Teriyaki Sauce
Flour
Salt & Pepper
Port (or cooking wine of choice)

First marinade the chicken in orange juice and wine.
Cook up the chicken, garlic, onion together. Salt & pepper to taste while cooking. Add a bit of ginger as well, but not too much.
Once the chicken is cooked through add some teriyaki sauce, a bit of the orange juice and about a half cup or so of water. Slowly mix in flour over moderate heat, letting the liquid part thicken a bit. Add a bit of wine at this point, making sure it mixes thoroughly.

Once you have a nice mess it's time to add the honey. Keep the heat on low as you add it, making sure to get enough that everything is coated nicely.

Add some rice or mashed potatoes and you have a marvelous messy mess. The honey makes things rather sticky, which leads to opportunities such as licking your partners fingers clean. Or other parts which may wind up getting messy.

I'm... not a gifted cook. So I mostly work with chicken breasts. I like to bake them and, in the middle of their bake time, cut the chicken open. I stuff them with feta cheese, salsa, tapinades, that sort of thing. Also, I do chicken dizzled with lemon sauce because it's simple, tasty and doesn't require a recipe. I just put lemon juice in a bowl and add flour and pepper till I get the texture and taste I want. If I made too much, I stick the rest in a small container in the fridge and pull it out later to make more or dizzle on other things.

How good a cook are you? What have you already mastered? Giving you a recipe too difficult for your level is useless.

I get the feeling you're a beginner. Don't strive for unusual then. Start with learning the basics. How to saute shrimp perfectly. Tenderloins because they can be the basis of many a dish.

I was thinking the same as Celeste: that you are a relitively inexperienced * cooker *.

Since you have time, why not go to the local bookstore or used book store and look thru a few cookbooks and buy one or two that has recipes that appeal to you.. Don't overwhelm yourself, choose cookbooks for your experience level. I bought my neice a great beginner cookbook when she was 17, it's called The Four Ingredient Cookbook. Easy recipes, and once you make them a few times you tend to add and doctor the recipes to your liking.

Okay, so tell us whether you are an experienced cook or not, please.

I have tons of recipes, I swear they are (one important way) how I keep my Dom happy, but not all of them are for novice cooks. No offense, but I just don't want to send you off to cook something that will make you cry with despair if it comes out of the oven/pan at less than perfection.

I started a thread on food and the kitchen some time ago which may have some ideas that could help you.

I also had an idea in there that you and your master might want to consider.

""Have your partner plan a special meal to be served in a few courses, a course can be something as
simple as the glass of wine before dinner.  Have them also prepare a list of the clothing they will wear
when they serve the meal, the numbers should match.  Then tell them they are going to remove the
clothing article of your choice with each course.  Once again I encourage everyone to be creative and
use your own variations."

You could either plan this together or you could simply plan your clothing for the evening so that your
sure the numbers match and then surprise your master by telling him about the idea just before you begin
serving dinner and then requesting that you be allowed to do it for him.

I generally make sure that the woman serving dinner understands that as each item is removed that her
exposed flesh is then mine to play with.  Also I generally like to wear a coat and tie while having
dinner served in this fashion as the power imbalance is magnified, the woman feels even more exposed,
which is, of course, the mental aspect of the whole experience.

I have never had a bad dinner served this way.  It seems that no matter the quality of the main course,
dessert is both memorable and always satisfying.

If he's the down-to-earth type, learn how to cook a pot roast or make meatloaf.  There's hundreds of recipes to get you started, with plenty of room for improvisation.

1 1/2 pound shrimp, shelled and deveined or small Maine shrimp if you can get it
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1/4 cup dry white vermouth
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 teaspoons finely chopped flat-leaf parsley leaves
1/4 teaspoon grated lemon zest

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper. Add the butter to the skillet. Add the shrimp and cook for about 1 minute. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute. Turn the shrimp over and cook for 2 minutes more. Transfer the shrimp to a bowl.

Return the skillet to the heat and pour in the vermouth and lemon juice. Boil the liquid until slightly thickened, about 30 seconds. Scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan with a wooden spoon. Stir the zest and parsley into the sauce. Pour the sauce over the shrimp, season with salt and pepper to taste and toss to combine.

I serve this over rice or lingiune with a nice green salad and crusty garlic bread, it's so good!!

Thank you so much, everyone for your help!  I'll be checking out all of these sites TONIGHT!

And I'm merely asking for recipes to expand my options, to see what else there is I could offer Him and possibly surprise him with. (For instance, I knew absolutely nothing about the Orange Honey Chicken, which I'm going to have to remember for later! ) I was born into a house of natural cooks and was taught the ins and outs of cooking the moment I was old enough to assist my mother with dinner, so I'd say my cooking level is pretty high.

In that case you may want to do something that the women in my family (excluding me as I'm the only one who seems ungifted in the kitchen ) does. They go to bookstores that deal in second-hand, older books and estate sales looking for old, out-of-date and out-of-print cookbooks. From them they pick up some really old and very unusual recipes. Plus sometimes they are in a little magazine format, complete with 40s/50s advertising and tips on how to be a good wife and please your husband. I find them amusing.

My Master likes my Porcupine Balls. He asks for these all the time.

2lbs ground meat (ground round or ground sirloin is best)
1/2 c rice
1/2 large chopped onion
1 small/medium bell pepper (optional)
diced tomotoes
large can of tomato juice.
1/4 tsp salt

Place hamburger in mixing bowl along with rice, onion, salt, bell pepper if using and diced tomatoes. Mix well and form into 1 inche balls. Place in large pan or dutch oven. Pour tomato juice over them and bring to rapid boil. Continue cooking for 1-1/2 hours. Depending on amount in pan. Check the amount of tomato juice in the pan, so it doesnt run low. You can also use tomato sauce if you prefer, just adding the necessary amount of water or it can be added if your juice runs low.
