I when I come across a new word search it as to it's meaning and its Etymology, oikophobia does not as far as I can ascertain exist in the English language, nor does it feature in Etymology on line, so I can only understand beyond the fear of oiks, it is a new word created by someone for their own purpose. I am aware of the Greek meaning of oikos, but for it not to travel down through the ages attached to phobia, I can only conclude the person concerned wished to coin a new word to suit their purpose, where existing words did not explain what the person was trying to say. If it was that what they were trying to say had any credence, but then perhaps the coining of a new word, or retrieval a word otherwise lost in history makes what the person is saying as important as opposed to just words that go in one ear and out the next as is common with those that in reality have nothing to say.
