Huh. My first thought was that I am not submissive at all outside of my D/s relationship, primarily because I am in charge of a large department where I work. While I generally have good to great working relationships with my subordinates, none of them wants to be called into my office for what they know is a disciplinary reason--for good reason. I do not tolerate people who do not want to do their jobs well. At the same time, though, if I do my job well, then I'm really sort of a "sub" to the company, overall, keeping the employees happy but also in line. Kind of a strange relationship. With my friends, I am somewhat submissive. I am opinionated, loud, stand up for myself, occasionally refuse to go along with a set of plans, etc, but I enjoy taking care of others and pleasing them, and my friends know and appreciate that tremendously.
