Wulfchyld -> RE: is there any ranking system for subs/slaves (4/22/2006 4:56:01 PM)

For ranking a slave you would have to be part of an agreed upon protocol, lifestyle, or way. Gor comes to mind but lacks the structure of all the possible variables you would have to consider. You would not be able to put a number to a slave per se. You would have to consider the following as a set of predetermined prerequisites: Category I A- Skills: how many and how good is he/she at said skills. B- Talents: how many and how good is he/she at said talents. C- Abilities: how many and how good is he/she at said abilities. You have to say “slave” has to X number of A,B, and C to be in rank 1,2, or 3 etc … We can’t stop there. Here is where it gets trickier. We take the above to extrapolate the rank based on skills. Now we have to look at the next variables, which again are held within an agreed standard by your group. Category II Physical attributes: And so on and so forth in the categories. This is a glimpse at the complexities of the issue; there are a bunch of other factors that have to be applied. I am not saying it is a bad idea, I’m writing a book about it, but it works within a community that is in agreement. People, thank god, are so different you will not be able to find a set way that will be acceptable across the board. Loki
