The bigger question, in my eyes at least, is WHY would you want to rank your sub/slave?

Let's say you are one of the "fantasy" types who has the big house, the big money and several slaves. Ranking them could be an excellent way to establish a system within the household so that it will run smoothly without you having to be there every second of the day.

I'm not one of these fantasy types (sigh) but I think unconsciously I might still rank multiple slaves because I did this in the past.

I owned Faith, was ending the training period with Anna and Fox has just entered training. When all three of them were together with me, Anna and Fox looked to Faith for advice; I turned to Faith when I gave general instructions expecting him to know how to carry out my wishes and to help the others do it.

If we open our household again, I would expect a new person to turn to Fox for advice and to follow his advice, even his orders, because he will just know better how to deal with me and with our life.

If the slave in question feels that competitive, maybe taking him/her to an event wherein they can compete against other slaves would be in order? Or if you do... But if you are simply trying to fit this slave into a status quo that really doesn't exist, I'd wonder how much you care about them. Would you discard this slave, if say one who ranked higher came along?
 
I myself prefer the Lamborghini version myself, though I dare say, there aren't many of them about and they are expensive to keep. LOL.

It just horrifies me... if I thought I were going to be ranked as a human being (and since my submissiveness is not contrived in any way, but merely who I am and cannot be bettered, and so is nothing more than who I am as a human being)... I would run away and never allow anyone to see that I was submissive EVER AGAIN.

As sad as it may be, I've met several who have done just that.

And I refuse to be victimised by a bunch of  TV soaked posers destroying the one thing we all have.
This is not the tv show KINK or whatever other bullshit A&E documentaries.

For ranking a slave you would have to be part of an agreed upon protocol, lifestyle, or way. Gor comes to mind but lacks the structure of all the possible variables you would have to consider. You would not be able to put a number to a slave per se. You would have to consider the following as a set of predetermined prerequisites:

Category I

A- Skills: how many and how good is he/she at said skills.
B- Talents: how many and how good is he/she at said talents.
C- Abilities: how many and how good is he/she at said abilities.

You have to say “slave” has to X number of A,B, and C to be in rank 1,2, or 3 etc …

We can’t stop there. Here is where it gets trickier. We take the above to extrapolate the rank based on skills. Now we have to look at the next variables, which again are held within an agreed standard by your group.

Category II

Physical attributes:

And so on and so forth in the categories.

This is a glimpse at the complexities of the issue; there are a bunch of other factors that have to be applied. I am not saying it is a bad idea, I’m writing a book about it, but it works within a community that is in agreement. People, thank god, are so different you will not be able to find a set way that will be acceptable across the board.

There was a website I went to once that you entered all this information about yourself ... Height, weight, age, hair color, eye color, heritage, education, etc ... And it spit out a price range for your worth as a slave ... I think I was worth something like $45,000 or so ...

To rank is to classify ... which is fine should you be into cladistics .. but when comparing people in an elitist fashion, frankly it smells *rank* ;-]

Is there a ranking system to determine if you have the best?
Yes .. it is called personal preference, and each person has their own.

Hmmm which begs the question .. if you determine that somebody is better, would you drop your slave for being *worse*, chastise them for same, pursue the other?? heheh <sticks tongue firmly in cheek> for then you would probably drop in rank as a good dominant.
