Just like the "pastor" is aware that he`s putting our soldiers lives in further danger,you are also aware that you don`t "risk the retaliation" of his stupidity.
Our GI`s have been asked to do enough without having to deal with this shit too.
This is the equivalent of screaming fire in a crowded theater.
Not an expression of freedom but rather a deliberate act done to cause damage and injury.



I agree with every syllable of this, from both posters..

This makes NO sense to me.  At what point have we decreed these groups to be the decider of ethics?  And would if have to be President Obama?  OR would VP Biden do?  What about one of his local congress-people?  A local National Guard Armory?  Military Recruiting Center?  Instead of the State Department what about one from the Consul of Zimbabwe? 


As far as the comparison to flag-burning goes, as I recall from my lessons in the care and feeding of the US Flag, you are SUPPOSED to burn it.

Mind you, there's eeevil mooslem fundies who think that translations of the Koran into languages other than Arabic should all be burned as well. No where the fuck was this cretin going to find an untranslated Koran in Florida?

Barnes and Noble.  They have Arabic version with the English translations.  Where you do the page by page.  They probably can order some just Arabic ones in.  Or. . . find the Islamic equivalent of the Gideon's and ask for some?

The parallel texts have an English translation as well as the Arabic (as you say), so they have to go if you're the sort of shi'ite fundamentalist who thinks it's Allah's will that everybody learns Farsi.
The Islamic equivalent of the Gideon's bible lot is a good point, but anything they'd send to the 'States is surely going to either be in English or Spanish. Assuming that there's any such organisation, which I doubt, given that the Koran is a fetish object more than a book. I doubt that many shi'ites, particularly at the looney end of the scale, would be keen on the notion of giving infidels a translation of the Prophet's word on the offchance they might be interested.
