How many of you actually believe everything the government tells you, and you believe that we really did land on the moon??? Let me ask you one question.

If they can take a satelite picture of the shed in your backyard, why haven't we ever seen telescopic pictures of our equipment left behind on the moon? Hubble is far more powerful than satellite photos, and there is no atmospheric interference.

Just because you haven't seen pictures of.. whatever it is besides the standing flag that you think was left behind up there for Hubble (which is neither our strongest nor our newest telescopic satellite, and which doesn't take random pictures but only records that which it is told to record) to see, is no basis for the incorrect presumption that we did not go to the Moon - which in fact yes, we did.

two things I believe ....NOTHING cuck says, and only half of what the government tells me.....

If we didn't land on the moon how did the astronauts have sex there?

SorceressJ -> RE: Did We Really Land On The Moon??? (9/9/2010 10:15:27 AM)

Um, the astronauts didn't have sex on the moon. (duh) That sounds like something the OP would say.. oh wait, he's arguing ineffectually against the moon landing, that's right..

How do we dance when our earth is turning?
How do we sleep while our beds are burning?

I did not have sex with that astronaut.

SorceressJ,

*dramatic sigh*
I don't know why you had to take facts and reason and use them to disprove a perfectly good false presumption.

His world (errr...I mean moon) may never be the same.

::OH NOES::
I just hate when someone says something to make me actually think.. don't you?
(My great-grandmother, Miss A. Smith of East Podunk, Arkansas, went to her grave in 1987, at the age of almost 95, swearing to be damned that the whole moon landing thing was government propaganda. She was a good 'nuff old bird otherwise, and I am at least grateful to the OP for reminding me of her today..)

Even if photos were released showing the remains left behind on the Moon, many would claim they were fabricated in the same manner that many claim all of the lunar landings were fabricated.

Even still, what would have prevented someone from landing a bunch of remotely controlled landers on the surface of the Moon just so those disbelievers could look upon them with high-powered telescopes and photography equipment?

When do the conspiracies end? No matter what proof is published, there will always be those who can make valid cases as to that proof being fabricated.

For my part I do not have to believe solely on the government nor what it says. My source for information during those years didn't come from NASA but came from a few who worked alongside NASA during the program but were not part of the government. I consider them to be reliable sources and, as such, have no reason to dispute their word, nor their evidence.

You forgot the link.

Yes we landed on the moon.

Consider the pump up in technology- all made possible by the space race.

Yeah, the Fisher Space Pen, where would we be without that, it is even designed to write under water.

hertz -> RE: Did We Really Land On The Moon??? (9/9/2010 2:00:53 PM)

I'm not even sure there is a moon.

sub4hire -> RE: Did We Really Land On The Moon??? (9/9/2010 2:42:53 PM)

Did we land on the moon.  Yes, I believe we did.  Why haven't we gone back?  That is the real question.

Why do we not have photos of what we left behind?  Well how do we know there is anything left of what we left behind?

It has been half of a century.

I know enough not to trust our government..and I think it is a shame that we are phasing out the shuttle program.

However you ask the question, how can we believe?  Well I have not met you cuck...and I don't believe you are not a person.  You could use the same sentiment for anything in the world.  I could not be real.  You could not be..so on and so forth.

How do you know when anything is real if we use that logic?

Wheldrake -> RE: Did We Really Land On The Moon??? (9/9/2010 2:44:56 PM)

I don't know quite whom the "we" is supposed to refer to, but I'm pretty sure that somebody landed on the moon.

littlewonder -> RE: Did We Really Land On The Moon??? (9/9/2010 4:39:55 PM)

and the earth is still flat and watch out for those black helicopters flying overhead....

SL4V3M4YB3 -> RE: Did We Really Land On The Moon??? (9/9/2010 4:45:35 PM)

Yep a lot of money to plant a flag and beat the Russians but at least we now have GPS and microwave meals, not to mention a better understand of how watercress grows in zero gravity.

Termyn8or -> RE: Did We Really Land On The Moon??? (9/9/2010 8:13:57 PM)

FR

I have only heard one minute piece of credible (but not proven) evidence that the moonshot may have been a hoax. Some claim that the flag planted there moved, which is assumed to be impossible without an atmosphere, however........

One, ever hear of a radioscope (IIRC) ? It has a needle bearing and thin leaves which are shiny on one side and black on the other. You shine light at it and it turns. It is of course in a vacuum. With the probable light weight of the fabric of the flag, and the fact that there is only about one sixth of the gravity there, if true, it could have been caused by a solar flare.

There is also the possiblility of some minor seismic activity which might have been undetectable to the astronauts in their suits, also owing it's presence to the flag's light weight and low gravity of the moon.

In effect, the only piece of evidence of a hoax that I could begin to accept is quite disputable, so my conclusioon is that we did indeed put a Man on the moon.

Further, what I've read is that this lunar dust is very fine and highly abrasive. Supposedly it even etches the glass faces of the dials on the instruments outside there. This is no doubt kicked up by movement, as there is obviously no wind. However new materials and or methods will be needed to put a stop to this. That may explain why we haven't gone back, because once you kick up the lunar dust, it wrecks everything. The question becomes, why would they make that up, why would they even mention it ?

What's more, perpetrating the hoax would probably cost nearly as much as actually doing it. People with terrestrial telescopes at the time would be able to see something in orbit. Since there was a launch and a space capsule returned, it would have to have been in orbit. Many people in the world (including the Russians) would have undoubtedly exposed it. The only way to cover that up would be to put the vessel in geosynchonous orbit with it remaining directly between the Earth and the sun. This would be a alot higher than the standard 22,000 miles. I'm not even sure they had the ability to do that at the time. I'm not so sure they do now, but I think so.

And all photographic evidence to the side. I know a bit about photography and anything, absolutley anything can be faked. What I studied of it wasn't in great depth, but they had quite a bit of ability back then. But now with so many trying to garner distrust in the government (as if they need help LOL), it is more likely that any evidence of a hoax is the actual hoax, but perpetrated now, with more modern technology.

domiguy -> RE: Did We Really Land On The Moon??? (9/9/2010 11:28:04 PM)

I landed squarely in Uranus.

Termyn8or -> RE: Did We Really Land On The Moon??? (9/10/2010 6:22:14 AM)

CORRECTION : That would NOT be a geosynchronous orbit, sorry.  The required orbit would be synchronized to the Earth's orbit around the sun, and I don't know the exact word for it. If I had to make a word up it would be something like solasynchronous.

Thus ends my rational handling of this subject.

As such, I would assert that there may be members we can ask directly if some guys in funny suits showed up on their world.
