well, is wanting intelligence, smell good, and good kisser shallow? maybe in some ways... and we also find financial stability more important... but keyword there stability... if we're submissive, to an extent we're expecting him to take care of us in some way, so he has to be able to take care of himself, right? I'm probably gonna get attacked for saying this.. there is a bit of an aspect of looks, but I dont think nearly as much as in men. to me, someone usually looks good if I feel comfortable with them... because I associate the way they look with comfort.

Hey now...what is this dependence on men nonsense? Pffffft...I've never depended on a man for anything other than his sperm and I didnt even ask for those. I think shallowness depends more on AGE than anything else. Younger people (teenies and early twentiers) tend to be more shallow than older people. Too much MTV and BET.

Tough question....... Needs to be more choices. But I think I am going to agree both men and women can be shallow, but neither side really has the upper hand. It really boils down to an individual level. If I disagree with someone, I respect their views and do not try to force the issue, for example different styles of teaching the same thing, such as puppy play. It is a matter of which way of teaching works well with the couple. If they try to force their views, then yes, I think they are shallow. If we agree to disagree, then I do not think that way. But if one passes judgement on someone without knowing everything, based on their egos, then yes, i believe they are shallow because they are not open to new styles. The only time I question someone's judgement usually is on the young and experienced Dom/mes who think they know what they are doing, but do not. If they plan a scene for example on fire play and they have no experience at all doing so and roasts the submissive, yes I believe they are not only shallow but need to go back to their studies on the net. If it is a submissive wanting to try something new that would potentially endanger them, such as asphyxiation and choking, if they tell me "do it i don't care, my body is your's to do with and hurt as you please," I think they are shallow for not taking into account their own personal safety, and if it were a Dominant doing it for the first one, then yes, I would question and consider them shallow if they did not take into account totally the safety of others. So it goes both ways really.. Do I belive women are more shallow than men? No, many are far from shallow, and there have been some great debates over the years. Do I think men are more shallow then women, not really.. It all boils down to what you consider shallow, the individual, the situation, and everything encompassing it.

The average female is a better communicator than the average male. BIG SURPRISE - hello!!! Social condtitioning and ACTUAL sparks between right and left side of the brain. Men are awesome though - don't get me wrong! Females Shallow? hehehe...

I have one man friend who I find can go as deep as myself on an intellectual/emotional level(I'm a very deep person). But I have met many many women throughout my life that has this ability. Women I believe from personal experience are "deeper". Now a question I would like to add What about transgendered people? *Brightspot

I think women are usually shallow when it comes to the size of a mans wallet and men are shallow when it comes to the size of a woman’s breasts it is just the way nature made people women look for supportive males and men look for women who will produce healthy babies. I don’t think you can really decide which sex is more shallow by discussing their personality traits men are usually strong and supportive and women are usually deep and emotional though that does not mean that I think members from ether sex cant be all of the above. I personally don’t think there is a difference between the sexes in terms of who is more shallow it is just that men and women work in different ways.
