Had you spent even the amount of time helping one person that you dedicated to this thread, you would make a positive difference.

Because I assume that women are just as guilty as men on a general basis. You assume that men are way more guilty then women. Do I need to explain the irony further more?

Someone can have the biggest desire to attempt to push an agenda on the planet. Whether that personal agenda is actually true or not varies depending on the thread. Still, there is an opportunity there to further education or knowledge within. It can be a small thing or a big thing, but there may be a chance that someone will learn something from it, even though it might not necessarily be the person who started the thread. You never know who is reading that is going to benefit.

So. . . what I am getting out of this thread after reading through it, is that the OP wants parity in DV shelters. If 10 women are receiving services then he wants 10 men to receive services as well. It does not matter to him if 100 women need services. Because there are only 10 men in need only 10 women are allowed access to services. The other 90 women can just go rot. Overall, I am not quite sure how this is going to make anything better for anyone.

You do tend to like suggesting other words for what people have written other than what they've said, don't you? Please feel free to look in the dictionary for the two different terms "suggestion" and "lecture". You will find that they are not synonyms. Volunteering your time is different than making a financial donation. Volunteering your time will not cost you anything except for travel expenses to the location that you choose to volunteer. You may even be able to cut that down if you share rides with another volunteer. It may be a great way for you to contribute.
