The daily show and the colbert report rallies are parodies on other rallies... you are familiar with the term "performance art", right?

Jon Stewart is making fun of people who held signs like "Bush lied people died", as well as Glenn Beck... if you watched him, you would know that.

No, that is not what i have a problem with...

I have a problem with groups like this being funded by political operatives and purporting to be "new" and "anti establishment" and "grass roots" when they are NONE of those things. This thread is not about groups who are politically driven, have an agenda, or who are established.... it is about those who would use the gullibility of ignorant people to gain support for a very old and well established far right political agenda...

Democrat specifically? Whatever it came out to for Clinton in '92.


But this wasn't a meeting, Julia. This was an opportunity to get a first hand view of a phenomenon you claim to be interested in, and freely express a negative opinion of. You could have joined the bunch across the street if you felt so inclined (I'm sure they'd have had a few spare signs for you to choose from). You even had lunch covered.

You'd rather snark, and see if you can get somebody to go tattle on.

Hmmmmm.... I was unaware I had to join a movement to have an opinion about one... what a novel idea...

You should go and join al Qaeda, since you think that one must have first hand exposure to extreme radicals to denounce them...

You know, Sharron Angle is all about those "second amendment remedies".... but I am supposed to hang out with well armed radical extremists before denouncing them... fucking hilarious

what u don't seem to understand julia, is that us dumb southern hicks know what is going on. we do not deny that money people have gotten behind us. they do not force us to believe some hog wash. we of the tea party still believe that the main concern here is that the government, not just democrats or just republicans but all of them have been spending like there is no tomorrow and it can not continue. big money has not changed our views. .
yes yes when asked a lot of people will add their personal wishes, no gun control, illigal alian control, ect ect ect but for the majority it centers around the main concern of getting the spriling out of control spending under control. since the 70's spending has gone almost straight up, up, 22! under carter, ragan, bush, clinton,bush... up up up. we cann not afford it! the country will go bankrupt!!

I believe a lot of other things julia, that would probably stick in.ur crawl, but that's neither here not there. I am amazed at people who can not see the problem, who would support a pol or group that does not see the problem.
