juliaoceania -> Tea Party Radicals - Astro Turf Manipulation (9/19/2010 3:04:18 PM)

Since my other thread went "poof", and I think it is important to exchange ideas on this topic, here is some other aspects of those culture warriors and their funding tea parties

Dick Armey... career politician, and funder of many astro turf groups

FreedomWorks

And then we have Glenn Beck, who is a cheerleader of the tea party movement and a fox "news" employee
Tea Party Express

And then there are the Koch Brothers, behind the scene astro turfers
Koch Brothers War Against Obama

Funding Tea Parties... not "Grass Roots"

subrob1967 -> RE: Tea Party Radicals - Astro Turf Manipulation (9/19/2010 3:08:28 PM)

Somebody call a whambulance, some conservative candidates found themselves some sugar daddies...WWSD?

luckydawg -> RE: Tea Party Radicals - Astro Turf Manipulation (9/19/2010 3:10:16 PM)

as opposed to the "Anti war" rallies which magically dissapeared as soon as Obama was running the wars?

They were never really well publicized

But just in case you weren't aware, the ANSWER Coalition are not Obama fans

The point is the tea party represents itself as being anti - political establishment when it was created by the establishment... that is the entire point of the threads I have made on the subject... they are duping ignorant people and lying to them

luckydawg -> RE: Tea Party Radicals - Astro Turf Manipulation (9/19/2010 3:31:40 PM)

Sure Julia.....if you want to pretend so.

not well publicised.......ROTHFLMAO!!!

You know, the coverage anti war rallies received was not backed by an entire "news" network in the same way that Fox News has been an arm of the Republican Party and pushing Tea Baggers agenda

Here is a video clip of Sarah Palin telling O'Donnell to "speak through Fox News"... why? Because Fox is not a news network, they are a propaganda network

luckydawg -> RE: Tea Party Radicals - Astro Turf Manipulation (9/19/2010 3:40:09 PM)

Thats correct in the sense it was backed by a group of media outlets CBS, CNN, MSNBC, NPR, and Air America.

A perfect example was how fast Cindy Sheehan dissapeared as soon as she criticised Obama. "Cindy who?"

Did they give money to the democrats? Fox did... did they have news anchors plan political rallies for democrats? Fox did. Do popular Democrats advocate only appearing on MSNBC, for example, because they are only willing to appear on news outlets in their corner? .....

I understand you do not get how unfair and imbalanced Fox News is, but a "news" organization that gives money to only one party, plans political rallies for that party, runs 24-7 positive coverage of Glenn Beck, and his rallies, shows footage of more popular rallies to make it look like they are better attended then they actually are (which they did at first) is just a propaganda station at this point.

luckydawg -> RE: Tea Party Radicals - Astro Turf Manipulation (9/19/2010 4:01:24 PM)

Actually Summner Redstone who owns CBS is a long time Democratic, and contributer.

the rest of your post is just as ignorant.

For example. Fox has given more to democratics than to Republicans.

HERE IS THE LINK http://www.campaignmoney.com/news_corporation.asp

You simply have no idea what you are talking about.

juliaoceania -> RE: Tea Party Radicals - Astro Turf Manipulation (9/19/2010 4:09:15 PM)

So, what you are saying is that these media outlets have given MILLIONS of dollars to ONE party? That is just bullshit, and you know it

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20013876-503544.html

Edited to add, I hit your link, and it states CBS gave as much to Republicans as to Democrats... buying both sides is what most news companies do.

luckydawg -> RE: Tea Party Radicals - Astro Turf Manipulation (9/19/2010 4:15:56 PM)

Julia you are the one ignoring the fact that FOX doesn't just give to Republicans, and has infact given More to the Democratics.

I gave you the data for the past 11 years, hell you probably can't comprehend it.

But you ignore it and start getting hysterical.

and respond with something from CBS (which gives more to the Democrats), that quotes a Democratic operative. And no one from Fox, and nothing placing the donations in perspecctive.

while screaming that CBS is fair and Fox is biased.

Fucking hillarious.

popeye1250 -> RE: Tea Party Radicals - Astro Turf Manipulation (9/19/2010 4:17:17 PM)

Julia, there must be a bunch of Tea Party events in your area out there, have you ben to any yet?

Read the above link... they did not give one fucking dime to Democrats gubernatorial race... they gave ONE MILLION to Republican gubernatorial races... is that "fair and balanced"?

I do not go to any political party events. I have no interest in attending them, why would I? If I were going to take time out of my life to go to any political meeting, it would be for the Green Party.

Have you been to any Green Party meetings, popeye?

Yes your one link to one event that only interviewed a democrat, and had no balance. I am sure it is a coincidence that CBS is owned by a long time democratic who gave far more to the democratics.

But why are you ignoring the fact that Fox has given more to the Democrats?.

No surprise you will ignore the totalls for the past ten years and focus on one biased article of one event.

It's the best your side has.

Not much of a Green Party here in S. Carolina, I think a couple guys at the gun range belong to the Green Party though. They're always shooting at cans with blue paint in them.

juliaoceania -> RE: Tea Party Radicals - Astro Turf Manipulation (9/19/2010 4:30:49 PM)

Where is there a link to Fox News giving more to democrats? I have not found one source that says they do...

Here is a google search for you to choose your news source about Fox News donations to republicans
Since Lucky Doesn't Know How to Use Google

I gave it in post 10.

Not much surprise you didn't bother to look at it.

wierdly enough all those stories (on oyur link) are about the same event. and most are from partisan leftie blogs.

None are an anaylsis of contributions (like the one I gave)

Think of all the money that could have gone to creating jobs, instead of expanding and consolidating power, and trying to dismantle the social safety net.
"Cut taxes on the rich, they create jobs." (I'm picturing a drooling idiot from "Deliverance" here)

That's what the reactionary, regressive right is all about; a return to Feudalism.

Stupid bastards.
