The best punishment for you is for him to sit you down and explain what you did wrong, and why it hurt him that you did it.  Then he will tell you not to do it in the future.

Good evening all.
I have been on CM for years now, thank you all for your informative responses in the past.
Tonight I am trying to think up a creative punishment for myself.
I had disobeyed a direct order from my Master.. At the time, I thought was I was doing was right.  I know going forward, it is not my place to think, it is my place "to do" as he says.
He has put me in charge of what punishment he thinks I should have. I am searching outside the box this evening. Putting aside the typical wire hanger or electric cord beating. Any suggestions?
Thank you.
s.

First of all, how annoying that some guy who thinks he is a Dom would be sending a sub to the forums to ask about a punishment. How lame for HER to be asked to figure it out for herself.

Secondly; anyone that says it is not your place to think, only to do, would receive my laughter in response. But I am not a mindless drone, so that dynamic would not work for me.

Lastly, getting beaten by wire hangers or electric cords? Ugh. That sounds far too abusive to me personally.

And you know what was said in Mommie Dearest? No wire hangers, EVER!!!!!!!!!

This, especially if what was done was done with good intentions.

Let me clear something up,  he did NOT ask me to come to CM and ask what punishment I should receive. I came here on my own to ask advice. All the negative comments I expect and they do not in any way upset or anger me, if anything give me a good laugh.

To answer some of the questions- yes, this would be to correct behavior. He has in the past come up with punishments to correct my behavior and No, I have never repeated those mistakes again.

The only reason why he asked me to come up with a punishment was to see where my head was at and he wanted to know what I thought would be reasonable. In the end, he did what he wanted to do, not me.

And the comment about "I thought I was doing the right thing" is because he gave me an order to ask permission before speaking with a certain person. Contact was made with this person and I told him that I can no longer speak to him. So even though I thought I was doing the right thing, I disobeyed his order to ask permission first.

Thank you again to the intellectual responses.

Good answer. That would certainly do it for me.

Thank-you! Thank-you!

Obviously there have been responses (notably DarkSteven's) that were much much wiser, more responsible, and more useful - but I was going for most "imaginative" :-)

This might be splitting hairs for some, but ...
If I haven't misunderstood your post, your Master has asked you to put forth the punishment that you think would be fitting for the transgression. If you are the one who is in charge of it, is it following His directive if you ask other people rather than coming up with the idea on your own? I'm not being critical at all, I just wanted to make sure asking here is alright with Him so you won't be disobeying again.

If you enjoy reading books, have him forbid you to read them for 2 weeks.  If you enjoy the internet, 3 weeks of no internet,.  If you enjoy a Starbuck's mocha in the morning, no mochas for 4 weeks.  If you enjoy watching a certain program on TV, no TV for a certain time.  How about washing your car with a toothbrush?  There are as many ideas as your mind can think of doing.

For what it's worth, I'm not a believer that subs get to decide appropriate punishment - that's entirely the responsibility of the one setting the rules and standards of acceptable behaviour.

I'll let the girl choose toys occasionally (pleasure or pain), but that has nothing to do with punishment. Actual punishment means she's done something to make me angry and I *really* don't like being angry.... That usually gets her the withdrawal of my attention; ignored even - *real* punishment for a submissive.

Focus.

And the last line that seems to have vanished into cyberspace read:

And since no sub likes being ignored, none will ever choose it as a punishment - which is why it's ridiculous to let them choose at all....

Well I take it you did not read my reply then... He did NOT ask me to choose a punishment so I could choose one. He asked me that to see where my head was at.

Sorry, You can't understand that.  Because I do, and completely understand why and respect it.

In all fairness, your statement that "He has put me in charge of what punishment he thinks I should have"
would leave the average person thinking he is asking you to select one. (whether it be here on CM or not)
Since we dont know you, or your master, its pretty hard for any of us to read between your lines.

You're right; I don't understand that.

I thought this convoluted mess was pretty easy to understand regardless....

LovingLoyalPet:
"He has put me in charge of what punishment he thinks I should have."

No wonder he doesn't know where your headspace wanders off to. Or why I'm not peeved or surprised at your pissy attitude in reply.... <shrugs>

Well now he'll have a good idea where your head is at it's at the "rather than reflect on his wishes and on my actions I'll take a short cut and ask some random strangers for suggestions" place

I don't understand the issue some people seem to have with this question... does it matter if he wants her to find her own punishment? does it matter if she asks a bunch of random strangers?
she asks for punishment ideas... either you have some or you don't...
if you have some but you are not gonna tell but post some boring shit about her question instead i think you just make yourself look like a tit.
(never you crazyml... i quite appreciated the eyeball scoop)

And you should try to remember this is a *discussion* board.

I'm certainly not some robotic data-base programmed to mechanically parrot back literal answers to specific or limited questions. Moreso when you consider many a newbie OP isn't even sure what they're asking or how to ask....

The general topic is punishment. I contributed to the topic; the OP is free to ignore that which she doesn't relate to. Or not....

Focus.

I'd ignore her F50 mate, she (ranja) is the nit-picking queen of CM which is why I have long ago chosen to ignore her.

To the OP: I'd have in mind some of the more traditional mindless punishments I've seen in the military:

  • Cutting a specified area of lawn with a pair of nail scissors or a razor blade.
  • Scrubbing a tilled dunny or bathroom floor with a toothbrush.
  • Scrubbing said dunny with a tooth brush with half the bristles cut out
  • Digging a 4' x 4' x 4' hole and then digging another one to fill the first one in.
  • getting dresses in fatigues and 80kg battle gear and running 5km with a weapon (pref an M60) held at arms length above your head (this is my all time favorite)

Guess I'm just an out dated nasty old fart/prick but all of the above are doable and works.
