The only thing that comes to my mind (as dramatic and corny as it sounds) are Heathcliff's words...

"...only do not leave me in this abyss, where I cannot find you! Oh, God! it is unutterable! I CANNOT live without my life! I CANNOT live without my soul!“

I imagine that I would eventually recover and manage to exist... but what I have found in him is something people would spend a thousand lifetimes searching for.

Yeah... I know it sounds dramatic but I cannot even imagine how I would pick myself back up again. I know somehow I eventually would - but I would be forever changed.

- sincerely, a survivor of divorce AND being dumped by my first Master; two separate guys, a little less than three years apart, both of which my dumb ass should have seen coming, but didn't/wasn't able to at the time. Now, it's like wow, was that really ME? Yes, it was, and I would not be who I am now if it were not for all the wonderous lessons of my life which are occasionally disguised as disasters.

Status: offline 		Ok......you mentioned the word "suddenly"....i assume that means that the subby DID NOT have an inkling that there were problems.
If it happened to me, I would be devastated, I would think that I didnt actually know him as well as I thought I did, that he had been lying to me, that I had been sucked in.
After that, I would have to pick myself back up, pull myself together and look again......sure, its easier said than done, but ive done it before and i would do it again......what other option is there?
I'm strong and I would survive.....no matter how hurt I felt inside.
