N.Y. governor candidate threatens to ‘take out’ reporter

On Wednesday night, New York GOP gubernatorial nominee Carl Paladino had some choice words for the New York Post's state editor, Fred Dicker, that could have been pulled from a "Sopranos" script.

"You send another goon to my daughter's house," Paladino said, "and I'll take you out, buddy!"

Paladino erupted when Dicker approached the candidate before a business confab and asked him for evidence to back up his claims that Democratic nominee Andrew Cuomo had been unfaithful years ago to his then-wife. Paladino responded that he had evidence but that the reporter wouldn't get it until "the appropriate time."

The candidate also shot back at Dicker over the Post's recent coverage of Suzanne Brady, a woman with whom he had an extramarital affair, and their 10-year-old daughter.

Watch the video, Paladino just killed his political career, at least with any one that has an IQ over 70.  The guy claims to have "evidence" of Cuomo's infidelity??  The reporter basically asks "Put up or Shut up" then gets threatened??   Always a good way to campaign.

Here is the really stupid part.  He is upset with someone who is looking into his past infidelity while threatening to expose the infidelity of another.

If some reporter showed up at his house and actually took photos of Paladino's 10 year old daughter, he has every right to say what he said. I thought little kids were off limits in campaigns ?

Or possibly he has "friends & associates" in the "waste management" business.  He does have the proper last name, that ends in a vowel, if you will.    :-P

Kids are off limits???   Since when??  Tell that to every presidential off spring since Truman.  I am sure they will be comforted to know you say they were supposed to be "off limits"

They seem to leave Obama's girls alone. I also said supposed to be off limits. I support Paladino for standing up for what is right in this case.

Normally I would say yes.

BUT

In this case when he wants to start slinging mud about infidelity his own past infidelity comes into play.

Regardless of his infidelity, they should not be in front of his house taking photos of his daughter.

I find this race to be of personal interest.I was born in Rochester,NY,so I care who is the next Governor of New York state.I support Andrew Cuomo to be the next Governor.Although,I am a little surprised that Carl Paladino won the Republican ticket.I certainly don't agree with his view's.However,as a native Upstate New Yorker myself,it is a little interesting to see a Upstate New Yorker make it this far.He will most likely lose to Cuomo.New York state is a mostly Blue state, mainly because of NYC.He probaly stand's a good chance in Upstate NY though. There are many small town's and rural community's in Upstate NY that are fairly conservative. He will probaly peel away some vote'd in those area's.However,NYC will mostly likely vote for Cuomo and that's the end of the race basically right there.

One is ignorant or otherwise unconsionable behavior and one is criminal.  That is of some relative issue.

This incident might just help Paladino. Maybe New Yorkers want someone who is tough sitting in that governors chair. He might just pick up some votes.

"might just, Maybe, might just."

This just after "if".

You did better threatening us not to diss the nutters cuz it would make people vote for them out of sympathy.

It's his own fault.  Who cares about his infidelity UNTIL he starts trying to make an issue of the infidelity of someone else.  That was when all this started.

IF this came up before he started slinging his mud then I have a big problem with it.

He was the one that put the cross hairs on them.
