Female submissive here that's going to school and living simply on a tight budget. I drive a 1990 Dodge Spirit 4-door that I named "Isis." She's old and white and some of her paint is coming off, but she's paid for and gets me there and back again. My first car was a 1970 AMC Gremlin hatchback and I loved it too.

Alpha-ish male top. Mercedes E320 droptop, triple black. Really comfortable seats. I can drive a long time without driver fatigue. Top's down on it now, great weather here. Also have a Volvo 240DL, which I am letting someone use until they get back on their feet.

I SERIOUSLY miss my 80 Silverado.. I'd probably still have it if the trans hadnt died and me without the $$ to replace it..*sigh*

TY. I need to go up to Mark of the Potter up in Clarkesville, on the Soque river (near Helen) and get me some nice big soup bowls, so next time you're up, we'll tool up there. Right where GA 400 ends, there's the Antique Rose Emporium (right on the edge of Tallulah Gorge) where there are the most beautiful roses I've ever seen. In Helen is Edith's Daylilies; she has at least 200 named varieties. Amazing. And of course Unicoi Falls is there in Helen.

I'm a Dom and I drive a 2009 Lincoln MKS. It has a 3.7 litre engine that puts out 275 h.p. and 270 ft lbs torque on regular gas. (see pics in my profile)
It has every option in it. THX surround sound system with I think 12? speakers, absolutely incredable sound with no distortion in any range or fade, and a jukebox so you can put your cd's in it and it records them so you don't have to cary around a bunch of cds, you just hit the touch screen and punch in whatever album you'd like to hear categorized both by "album" and "artist", I think the salesman said it will hold up to 22,000 songs. I always thought the Bose systems were the best until I heard this! I believe George Lucas owns THX (starwars) so they know sound! And a navigation system that runs off the satelite, Sirius radio, weather, gas prices, movies, and it does a whole bunch of things I don't even use and too numerous to list here, there must be $15k worth of electronics in this car. And it's nearly silent with the windows up It has "Bridge of Weir" Scottish leather 8 way power heated and cooled seats with power lumbar support that are supurb both for comfort and support, a power moonroof in front and a skylight in back for the rear seat passengers as well as heated seats in back too. And an information system that monitors tire pressure and a bunch of other things, and 19 inch wheels with Michelins that are really wide to grab the road.
I went to Missisippi and back the other week and got 27.4 mpg sticking close to the speed limit.
It's a real fun car to drive even after owning it for two years. I like to put the pedal to the metal and it blasts right off. It will put you right back in your seat! Even at 65 mph you floor it and it will go right up to 90 effortlessly for a 4,100 lbs full size car.
Before this I had a Mercury Grand Marquis, three F-150 Lariat trucks and two Mercurys before that.
These days Ford is building some incredable vehicles! I love the new Taurus and the new Edge!
And I know a few guys up in N.H. who are still driving Ford trucks built in the 80's with something like 400,000 some odd miles on them! You can beat the crap out of them and they just keep going!

Have you seen the new v6 mustang?  We got one for my wife, just a base model though, no fancy electronics or leather seats.  But it has the new 3.7l engine, derived from the 3.7l in your Lincoln.  The new 3.7l engine puts out 305hp and 285?tq.  Quick little v6.

I'm a dominant male (hetero, if that factors in) and I just this summer dumped my environmentally unfriendly SUV for a new Honda Civic. Vehicles to me have always been just a means to get from point A to point B. I am not much for status symbols and there will be no mid life crisis here. The SUV suited my needs at the time and now my needs have changed. I love the fuel economy of a small car and the reliability of Hondas. Prior to this I have only driven Fords for the last 30 years.

Aimed right at the OP as time is short.

I think I know what you mean. You don't mean whatever shitcan whoever might beat around town in, but more like what kind of car is YOU !

In a word - BIG. And with an engine to match, and I mean over 400 HP out the box. What I do to it later is my own business, but I need the right raw materials. GM, big block with a THM400 or better, maybe a stick shift. In either case a sleeping silent rocket, ready to throw you in the back seat with a simple push of the gas pedal. Silent, large maybe oversize exhaust, no markings or numbers and bullshit. Just balls. Just let these punks show up in their IROC Zs and other whitetrashmobiles. OOOH yaeh, your four bolt main will eject your drivesheft out on the street before I even hit second gear. (this actually happened to me once, I really do feel sorry for laughing my ass off but, tough shit)

And never race title for title, what the hell do I want with a car I can beat ? A decent stereo helps, when members of our illustrious younger generation pull alongside "BOOM BOOM BOOM", yas need a bit of wattage to get the Willie Nelson on. Or whatever. Remember I satarted all this shit, really. I built my first car amp in about 1977, yes that's right, I was 17 at the time. These ampzillas and shit were literally unheard of at the time, and my car stereo resulted in alot of questions. You couldn't just go pick up a thousand watt amp for a hundred bucks at Crutchfield back then.

And tires - they have to hold air. But my car should almost be able to beat the police radfio and have just a few things. Like a seat for example, next comes the creature comforts, like a seat, somewhere to put my beer and working AC is always a plus, if it has windows. The most important thing is what happens when you mash down on the gas pedal, really.

The other day I saw an ad for a car sporting 300 HP. Dammit I said 400 HP, if those ninnies can't get it right no thirty grand for them. Back to combing the boneyards for ferrous prospectus. Anything with the bumpers still attached has potential, as long as it was built by GM. (over about 30 years ago)

I'm a female sub and I drive an '01 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4WD with a V-8 engine. I drove a BMW 325x until I needed something bigger. The Jeep takes me back and forth to Austin in comfort without particular fatigue and it will tow anything I want to pull. In its 80,000 miles and 10 years, I have spent less than $4000 on any maintenance or repairs which is a huge improvement over the BMW.

Master has a 2001 Jeep Cherokee and I drive an 87 Chevy Cavalier with 280,000 miles. My Chevy gets 31 mpg and I'll drive it til it falls apart. It is the most comfortable car I've ever owned, especially on long drives.

Im curious to see if there is a "type" of car for each "type" of orientation.  I was just out washing the wifes car and it got me thinking about this.  Maybe a majority of female doms drove a certain "type" of car or like a certain style.  (i know everyones budget doesn't allow them to drive what they want.)

So what do you drive or like to drive and how do you orientate yourself?

Edit* Im a car guy so my mind is usually focused around anything automotive.

I sold mine.....not really important what it was....but the thing and the insurance...and the services..and the sorting it out...and the phone calls...and the taking time off work to do all these things....and the queuing up at traffic lights.....and the fact that they're just a bit of metal with rubber on the bottom which holds absolutely no interest for me.....and I reached a natural conclusion: "what am I doing with one of these things? they're shite"....so it had to go......

So no car here....I'd genuinely rather get a bus somewhere.....

I think ford is pushing all the right buttons with its new line up of cars and power trains.

The 2010 GT had a 3v 4.6l motor that put our 315hp and 325tq.
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupes/112_0902_2010_ford_mustang_gt_first_drive/index.html

The 2011 v6 with the 4v 3.7l motor is rated at 305hp and 280tq
http://mustangs.about.com/od/modelyearprofiles/a/2011-v6mustang.htm

And of course the 2011 GT with the all new 4v 5.0l motor rated at 412hp and 390tq

Different strokes for different folks.
I LOVE driving.  Ive visited the big apple on a few occasions and found riding the train from Hopatcong, NJ to New York a hassle and very uncomfortable.  But after walking around the city all day I would NEVER want to drive there and see why driving in New York would be unappealing.  One of the many reasons I would never willingly choose to move there.

But every person dances to the beat of a different drum.

Oh ok, that was what was confusing me, the 2010 and 2011 models are totally differant h.p. and tq wise.
It's pretty cool that they can get 305 h.p. out of a V-6 and *31*mpg highway at the same time.!
Wow, 390 tq on the new GT! Talk about being PLASTERED to your seat!!!
