Status: offline 		Is it just me or do you find it just as impolite and of bad taste if the profile picture (preferably the very first impression you get) of a male sub is that of him displaying his naked ass? What is it that compels them to put in one or lots of pictures of them mooning their viewers (whom they hope to impress favourably)? Usually I don't feel much favour for somebody who first of all shows me his naked ass - why should the rules of politeness not be valid here?

Coming to think of it, I don't feel more favourable about men who think the first best thing to present to me is their dick (irrespective of the state of erection and/or adornment with whatever chastity device).

Afterall, I don't introduce myself either with a hearty "I'm looking for a partner, please take a look at my bottom or genitals."

But then, maybe I'm just finicky and old-fashioned. What's your opinion?

Status: offline 		My opinion is this: If I want to see the full moon, I'll go outside at night. I don't want to see somebody's naked butt in an introduction.And sadly, it's usually the older dudes who seem to desire to exhibit themselves in this way. The gravity of the situation is obvious.

Same with cock shots. This to me is tantamount to the skeezy guy lurking about in a stained trenchcoat ready to flash his weenie at any unsuspecting female passing by, only minus the coat.

I'm with BonesFromAsh... only I'm not as tactful! It says to me, I have my head up my ass and that's what I'm thinking with... see... can't you see? I have an ass for you to beat and flip me over and see what I've got? Yeah baby that's just for you... or anyone else that will play with it.

It says... fail and next all at a glance! They do the weeding out part of things for me and save me time actually. So I guess I am thankful in some small way. lol

When people feel sexually unrecognized, they are often desperate for the world to notice them in that way, too.  Imagine a guy who has been hearing from women for years, "Oh you are so nice, I want you as a friend, but I don't think of you in that way."  A lot of male subs are in this boat, because women in this society tend to get more turned on by guys who are assertive.  I see such photos as a plea to be noticed in a sexual way, even if that way is, "Yeah, you're sexual.  Ick."

The flip side of this coin is that years of rejection of one's desires can leave a sub man with passive aggressive resentment toward women.  That then leads to more rejection -- vicious cycle.

Part of the issue, also, with guys who post ass pics, is they probably don't have female friends who they know well enough to ask to view their profiles.  So they're profoundly clueless about how to approach women who have owned an alternative sexuality.

Status: offline 		Ok, allow me to enlighten on the "Let's be friends" thing. This applies to possible potential dating partners, kink or vanilla, and runs the entire spectrum from submissive to Dominant.

In many cases,(not ALL, not generalising here,) "Let's be friends" is code for: "Woman feels that for whatever reason, this man is not good relationship material for her at this time."

This can be for a variety of reasons. Emotionally unavailable or immature. Controlling. Unbalanced. No sexual chemistry, as in nice person, no "spark. Pushy. Aggressive. Too much baggage. Other reasons unique to whatever the situation might be.



Guys do it  too. It's a human thing.

Status: offline 		I absolutely can not take anybody with the 'full moon' pics seriously.  Even if I was going to go with RedMagic's theory of 'they just want to be recognized in a sexual way', that comes across as somebody who is just another guy looking for a fuck.  That makes them doubly clueless, as in My opinion, the majority of women on this site aren't especially looking for a fuck buddy.  Why would anybody choose not to appeal to their target audience?  It just allows for the woman here to see you as the ass that you have in the pic in more ways than one.

Dude, you know Me better than this.  I'm not so easily swayed by the 'oh, we have to feel badly for anybody who creates an account' type. 

The fact of the matter is that these mistakes don't have to be made.  The information about such subjects is already available.  You mentioned in the prior post that they might not have female friends to give them the advice.  Fine.  I'll even go with that.  At the same time, there are other resources available.  (Perfect example, this thread and the many on the same subject that we've had prior.)  You reference data from another site, which only goes to prove that the information really is out there.

I never thought of it that way. It doesn't make it any less off-putting when it happens, but it does help Me to understand the possible thought process behind (heh) the phenomenon. Thanks for broadening My perspective, RedMagic1.

No problem on that first part.  I'm glad to see you around again. 

I don't really think we're disagreeing here.  We're both coming from the same basis of why it happens, which really does boil down to ignorance.  However, you have to remember that this isn't from only certain demographics.  It's not a certain age or those who are new to the online dating world.  I'll bet half of the women on this thread could go to their "who's viewing" page and come up with at least one middle aged man who's been on the site for at least a year with the full moon pic.  That eliminates the "new and bumbling" forgiveness.  We don't really think there are fifty year old men out there who have had no exposure to the "men tend to be more visual creatures that inspire sexual stimulation" theory, do we?

Also, these aren't all exactly "eye candy" types of guys.  Even if they thought the visual thing was going to work, they would have to have the sense to know whether or not they have a hot looking ass.
