What could be more morally satisfying than incinerating brown skinned families over in Pakistan as a way of demonstrating the superiority of Jeebus?

Wow, I'm impressed. It is always gratifying when someone posts something that reflects a degree of rationality and intelligence.

K.

You know, Kirata, I thought for a moment that maybe my words were over the top, maybe a bit too strong. But then I remembered how one of GWB's generals was caught talking about how this was in fact a holy war, that "our God was bigger than their God" and was only fired due to the embarrassment he caused.

I thought about how Eric Prince, the CEO of Blackwater is convinced that he is fighting a religious crusade against Islam, and how his forces have committed murder and senseless slaughter, even to the point of gunning down government officials in Afghanistan- without any repercussions.

About how many of our unmanned drones blow up buildings without any way of knowing who or what is inside, and the reports of entire families being incinerated mistakenly.

So on balance, it seems pretty reasonable to say that America is incinerating families in Pakistan to show the superiority of Jeebus.

Sadly so.

Oh ok, I get it now. You are not being serious, you are trying to be as arragant and obnoxious as those two. Good job mate, you had me fooled[8|]

When 98% of layoffs were the result of Mr Richie Rich, business owner, purging his employee roles of high paying whtie males in favor of creating his own little chinese labor force of white, lesser paid women, I don't think government is the only source of problems. But government is the only thing 'we the people' can vote out. Unless we are a shareholder, we have no say in how the corpratocracy is run..

Well, Kirata took care of one of them.

Let me handle another.

Obama widens drone attacks in Pakistan
By Bill Van Auken
7 May 2010

The Obama administration has granted secret permission to the CIA to carry out more indiscriminate drone missile strikes in Pakistan, even as protests over civilian casualties caused by the attacks continue to grow.

Officials revealed this week that the US intelligence agency is operating under rules that allow it to target suspected “militants” in Pakistan based upon “pattern of life” analyses, without even ascertaining their identity. For the most part, they acknowledge, the names of those assassinated with Hellfire missiles fired from Predator and the larger Reaper drones are never known.

Of course, Obama is also the American President to authorize the assassination of an American citizen without due process, in clear violation of the Constitution.

I guess "Jeebus" is one of Obama's heroes?

Yes apperantly Obama feels morally satisfyied by incinerating brown skinned families over in Pakistan as a way of demonstrating the superiority of Jeebus.

At least according to Animus Rex.

My prediction is that niether Animus nor any other leftist will adress this anymore.

This exact topic (and a few others of Obama doing exactly the same things they demanded Bush be tried as a war criminal over) is beyond the ability of a lefty to address.

Hill actually they were, but it was hard to notice with all the War Criminal accusations and demands for him to stand trial for attrocities..

I have drawn a total of 3 weeks of unemployment in my life. I have spent many hours crawling around grouting tile, painting baseboards, laying oak and bamboo flooring in my rental houses, which I bought with my own down payment money. I pay property taxes, pay my dues for my Homeowners Association... and some stupid cocksucker... has the fucking nerve to say I'm a Marxist Democrat who hates America and supports terrorists

Okay, okay, take it easy, no need to be so sensitive about being a Republican. [:D]

AnimusRex -> RE: Working-class whites shun Dems (10/7/2010 8:53:53 PM)

Actually, I feel exactly the same way about Obama doing this shit as I did about Bush;

What Obama is doing in Pakistan/ Afghanistan is illegal and wrong; whatever I agree with him on domestic affairs, he is doing a miserable job with regard to our foreign policy.

What his motivation for it is beyond me, but the end result is the same- we blithely incinerate brown skinned foreigners with abandon, not caring much who is guilty or innocent, all on the flimsy pretext of "Keeping America safe".

I read today that something like 60% of Pakistanis believe America is their enemy, and only 10% think we are a partner.

Can't say I blame them.

AR,

Setting aside for a moment the morality of the drone attacks in Pakistan, I guess my question is why did you have to belittle and insult Christians and (I think) TEA partiers for their "belief in Jeebus"?

It did not advance your arguments against the attacks, yet alienated believers who might have otherwise agreed with you?

So ... why did you do that?

Yeah. Poor rural whites overwhelmingly voting republican has always boggled my mind.

Me too, and I live here.

Thing is--locally (state level), they see what the reps are doing for them, and they keep sending our excellent Dems (who understand the needs of these mostly farmers and address them well) back. In fact, they aren't even seen as from a party, but just as the people they are--everyone seems to know them personally. But nationally--they're just blind, believing the radio and TV over what's in front of them.
