ORIGINAL: gungadin09 4. i split my chin open as a child and had to go to the ER to get stitches. The doctor strapped me onto this backboard thing, so i couldn't move. He told me i was like a little papoose. Then he stitched me up, but i don't think he waited long enough for the local anasthesia to kick in, because i could feel him sewing the stitches, and i was screaming. It was the middle of the night, and afterwards, my dad took me to get a candy car. i felt like i was in trouble, or something. It was pretty surreal. 8. Getting my wisdom teeth out. Going under anasthesia, and then waking up half a second later, only to realise that it had actually been longer than half a second. pam I came close to cutting my thumb off when i was younger. They put localized anesthesia around my thumb but you could still "feel" the stitching, i just didnt feel any pain. But that is a weird feeling. Funny thing is they had to stich my tendon back together and to this day when i touch my thumb to the bottom of my pinky finger the tip of my index finger folds down. Try it. Also got a piece of metal lodged under my finger nail, again localized anesthesia, the scraped underneath my finger nail with a scalpel, i could feel it, but no pain. Looked at it for a minute and almost passed out. About the wisdom teeth. That is pretty weird, they put you out and then it seems like a second later youre awake again. But your mouth is stuffed with cotton.
