Oh, okay. But she had better move then, for it is her neighbor. It is unpleasant to have a neighbor that one has an argument with.

Change the lock now. I've had to change my own, when the day after my first Dom came strolling in like he owned the place. He'd left me the day before with no notice for someone else. Took me nine hours to find out. When he next tried to get in, knowing I was out for an appointment, he acted angry and upset. Told him there was no way he was getting in again, and why was he trying to do so when he knew I was gone? No answer to give and none needed. Neighbor or not, lose the friend.

There doesn't need to be an argument - there's no reason why they can't still smile and say hello, or go to the coffee shop. But the key-sharing thing should stop. But I'm guessing that bridges have been burned, and the friendship may well go through a gradual cooling-off now, which is sad on both sides.

The gal is lucky the OP does not call the police on her!

In my area- the police would charge the gal and it would stick.  It would cost thousands,  maybe 10s of thousands in legal fees.

theft a a controlled substance.

do you have any idea how bad that would be for her?

Here's a hug for ya, Best. (())

Now get those locks changed. And update us!

Hiding the drugs isn't a solution. If she's that desperate, she will sell ANYTHING you have of value.

That's okay. Goofy kind of scares me. And i get sick on the rides. My feet hurt by the end of the day. All those lines.

i'll just eat some junk food and listen to "It's a Small World" on my stereo. Just as good. Hunky and i can have our own party, without the entrance fee.

ha-ha!!!

(who's a SUCKA???!!!)

pam

Ha, get your refill then squirrel away 3/4 of it in another bottle which you hide for yourself and load up the other bottle with laxative.
Whoever starts crapping their brains out is the culprit.

you guys are the absolute best.....i sat down tonight and sighed and told my dad when i fired up the pc......THERE'S  my REAL  friends.
you guys have always given sage and helpful advice and have truly made me feel up when quite down at different times. this is no different.im just gonna do the ' i lost my key, gonna need mine back ' deal. .she will have knowledge im sure why i'd ask....it will be that cold silence when its handed over but i plan to stand my ground. it is a dirty thing to have done to your bff. so i guess now its just a f or worse....nuthin'
she made sure she waved at me today but no friend time together.....as i said on facebook last night(which she follows)...ever know something....and you know you know....and the person you speak to knows you know but they want you to think you dont know....ya know?
the bridge burnt when i confronted her.....and my forgiveness would be swift if there were admission....it wont happen so i hear in that world she lives in and she may even try to make me think badly for accusing her in the first place.
if i were a good deceiver i could do the tricks Rule  And Pahunky but my eyes give me away .
i have much luv for all of ya'll here on the cm.

Evil Thought.... If you could get it...

Get some pyridene and put in a planted bottle of syrup for her to steal. Pyridene is an antibiotic for certain urinary tract infections that has an interesting side effect, it turns the urine a bright scarlet red. It can scare the bejezus out of someone that doesn't know they are taking it. I learned that trick from a hospital corpsman that was finding out who was robbing his stash of Jolt cola.

Then there is the easy revenge.. you can't taste ipecac when added to cough syrup.... nuff said

Why get mad when you can have soooo much fun getting even,
Stefan

Revenge is fine and all, but it still doesn't stop your problem. And you don't have to sink to her level if you don't want to. BFFs sometimes have a "funny" way of showing their friendships, and those are the times when you find out who your true friends are. The ones who'll be there no matter what, won't lie to you, won't take advantage of you and certainly won't steal from you.

Easier to change the locks, asking for the key back, well, who's to say there isn't an extra copy hanging around? She took away your trust, won't admit it, and will most likely try to lay the blame on you. You deserve better friends than that. From someone who knows that one all too well. Good luck.

You have to live by her, I wouldn't do anything with revenge. It might start an ongoing back and forth cycle that you'll regret later. I'd have to agree with poohbear as well....just change the locks. She may have anticipated having to give up the key and had a copy made. Then if something disappears in the future she'll look at you and throw up her hands and say gosh...gave you the key back, must be someone else. If she's stolen from you twice (and maybe more) the chances are good she's thought to have a key made for whatever purposes.

Change the lock. A known thief probably did make an extra key. Be safe.
