Let's take America back!

Return it to to the people!

Support the teabaggers!

Ooops.

It seems we have some outside interests involved and spending money for the "grassroots movement".

So let me ask, is this not the very thing the teabaggers claim to be against?

RealClearPolitics - Politics

Oct 27, 2010 ... Big money: Outside groups spending for Republicans

A year ago, two top Republican strategists sat down for lunch at the venerable Mayflower Hotel, five blocks from the White House, calculating how to exploit the voter anger they had seen erupt at Democratic town hall meetings that summer.

Today, the money-raising success of the GOP-allied attack led by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Karl Rove-inspired American Crossroads has stunned opponents and even its own architects. It's one big slice of the estimated $3.5 billion expected to be spent on this year's campaigning, a record for a midterm election.

Financed to a great degree by undisclosed donors — and helped by a new Supreme Court ruling — the deep-pocketed groups have become a dominant part of this election's narrative. They have reversed past pre-eminence by Democratic outside groups. And they have become a prototype for elections to come.

Their effort has been a major factor in the $264 million in spending so far in this election by outside groups — organizations separate from the political parties and candidates.

Rove, who was President George W. Bush's top political adviser, and the two Mayflower lunch partners — former GOP Chairman Ed Gillespie and Steven Law, a veteran of Capitol Hill and the Chamber of Commerce — worried that the Republican Party alone would be no match for President Barack Obama's superb fundraising.

"Clearly there was a tremendous amount of grass-roots energy building — a grass-roots prairie fire that was building in intensity," Law, now the Crossroads president, said in an interview. "We felt that one of the things we could do was pour gasoline on that."

Oooops. Seems your post is devoid of specific organization(s) which gave specific amount(s) of money to specific Tea Partys.
Typical.

I am.

Men can determine what occurs outside her body.

Men can prevent her from becoming pregnant.

There is nothing in the frozen embryo that involves a woman's physical integrity.

Pregnancy and birth involve inherent risks, up to and including death.

The baby, once viable, takes precedence over a woman's wishes, but not her life.

Until that age of viability is reached, its all up to her. She doesnt even have to tell a man she is pregnant.

I noticed you avoided the rest of that post.

I avoided it because I did not see it as relevant.

And no, she doesn't even need to tell a man she is pregnant, but I'm pretty damn sure he will hear about it when she demands child support.

But all is fair in love and war, right?

As i said, the act of sex comes with it the potential for pregnancy. No birth control is 100% except for abstinence. For centuries men spread their seed as they wished, and left women holding the bag.

The courts have ruled men cannot be forced to become fathers.

They have also ruled women cannot be forced to become mothers.

But, if a woman chooses to be a mother, there isnt a damn thing a man can do because he participated in the act that resulted in a pregnancy.

Dont want to pay child support? keep it out of her vagina.

Its really that simple.

Yeah, that was the point of the whole article Jimbo.

From the link:

"Financed to a great degree by undisclosed donors..."

But you didn't really read it did you?

Typical.

But women hold no responsibility for keeping their vagina closed?

I'm pretty sure it is called rape when it is non-consensual.

The law also used to allow husbands to rape their wives.

A woman engaging in sex is taking the risk as well.

She is also taking the risk for having an abortion... for the risks associated with pregnancy... for the risks associated with delivery.

Anyone who is against paying child support should keep their legs closed or keep it in their pants.

Men bitch about child support, then bitch because women want the right to have an abortion. Men bitch about being forced to become fathers, then demand the right to make women become mothers.

Sounds like you are simply having a two-year=old temper tantrum over something you agreed too by having sex, yet dont want to take responsibility for the abondoned sperm you left behind.

Sorry, sweetcheeks, its no longer your way.

But, i do agree with a sentiment i read...

Men will have, one day, a right to have a say in abortions.. when the pregnancy can occur outside the womb.

Forcing every woman to carry a child or deny an abortion just because  you might want a child of your own is the ultimate in abuse.

nah hes as good as gold..just beleives strongly... nothing wrong with that...it is a very divisive subject, and while I totally agree with Tazzzy regarding womens sovereignty over her body and her right to medical and legal procedures, I can also see why a man would get upset over being told he has no right to stop her.
If we could all agree on it, life would be grand, but it aint

You have turned this into an "us against them" issue, which was my point from the start.

I'll try to rephrase it a different way, you don't think men have any rights in childbirth but you think they have the responsibility.

Doesn't that seem a little inconsistent to you?

Well DYB, in case you haven't guessed this by now, I was put in that situation.

My ex-wife became pregnant before we were married and I was left out of the decision even though I was the father.

When 80% of the single households in the US are ran by women?

Here is another statistic for you.

There were, in 2005, 4,138,349 live births.

Maternal deaths account for 17 out of every 100,000 live births.

Thats 703 women who died that year giving birth.

The major causes of maternal death are bacterial infection, variants of gestational hypertension including pre-eclampsia and HELLP syndrome, obstetrical hemorrhage, ectopic pregnancy, puerperal sepsis (childbed fever), amniotic fluid embolism, uterine rupture and complications of unsafe or unsanitary abortions. Lesser known causes of maternal death include renal failure, cardiac failure, and hyperemesis gravidarum.

And you want to talk about inconsistencies?

Its women taking that risk! And you want the right to demand that she take it simply because you want too???
