ORIGINAL: popeye1250 This can't be good for working class people in the U.S. More "outsourcing" to India? I'd rather see Obama go to Detroit and see the results of all this "globalism" and "free trade." And guess what? That's exactly what this trip is about! We sell S. Korea one car for every 50 cars they sell. It's absolutely on the list, including with teams working on solutions. FYI, the other major issue is beef. India is 15% of the world's people! It's the largest democracy, and the third largest military power. Indonesia is also huge---these are export markets (or should be). Additionally, we don't want China controlling the entire world. Sorry. But it's not 1900 anymore. Music, my point exactly, 50 to 1 in their favor! And people think that's going to change because Obama "talks nice" with them or gets together another of those worthless "free-trade" deals? Then we'll be selling THEM cars at a rate of 50 to 1? It'll be like all the other free-trade deals, they go along for a few years and someone in the govt will make excuses for them and keep telling us that "things will get better" *in the future!" It's *always* "in the future" with those people. "These are *developing* countries, we need to *help* them..... develop." Yeah, they've been "developing" for the last hundred years! Who are the people in our govt working for anyway? Look at "NAFTA", what a firecracker "success" that's been! It's gone *backwards!* Of one thing you can be sure, when the govt tries to tell you that "free-trade" is good for you they're lying.
