Though I am curious and this may sound silly because I have been here along time, but how do you hide someones profile so you do not have to see it again?

Hide user is one of the buttons when viewing profiles, like block person, Report Profile and view photo

Although it is sad to hear of anyone's misfortune, doing a hanging scene and getting your neck broken is just assessing the risks incorrectly - or, knowing the danger, ignoring it.

They were both aware of the risks of the scene. The problem happened when a third party entered the scene without consent of either participant and grabbed the hanging man's legs and took his feet off the ground. The third party was a friend of each and didn't think his interference would upset either of his friends. Since the third party was not someone who had done his homework on hanging, he didn't realize that what he was doing was beyond foolish to the point of deadly. My friend was lucky to not only survive, but retain all of his mobility due to the quick response of the Dom in charge of the scene. And while I have no earthly notion what two people would get out of such a scene, they both agreed to it, planned for it and for the contingencies. My mentioning it was more a way of showing that people actually do things in this lifestyle that boggle your mind. At least it boggled my mind.

Sorry,   I wanna but I won't.  If someone was really bored tho' she's looking for sub/sub couples and in CA.....

And MadamShy, aside from some difficult to read color combinations, you don't scare me at all (well, maybe in a good way).

I had a pretty creepy experience a few months ago.  One morning, a "submissive" male sent Me a message telling Me he was on his way to Fort Worth right then, told Me to give him a call on his cell-phone, so W/we could "hook up" that very day at a hotel room and he could show Me "what he could do for Me."  I was on My way out to work, so I sent him a terse note telling him he was moving way too fast, then blocked him.  Red-flag city!

I then looked up his profile and it was quite hostile toward Dominant Women.  He said he particularly had no respect for Dommes who did not switch, as they can dish it out but not take it (and My profile indicates that I don't switch).  He went on to say he'd like to fillet their a**, or something to that effect, the way they do submissive men.  It was downright alarming and I reported it.  When I looked later, it was no longer there.

I wonder what might have happened to Me had I been dumb enough to meet up with him that day?

Not many profiles creep me out - different strokes and all that - but sometimes I come across things that I don't even want to try to understand...

One particular Dom's profile that has stuck in my mind stated that he was seeking a slave animal for lactation, sex, abuse, breeding and torture.  Fine, I say, whatever - though the use of the word 'abuse' is questionable, and the whole 'breeding' thing is not my cup of tea...  I'm sure there are a few out there who desire the sort of dynamic he's describing...  But then he goes on to say,  'She will not have any contact with the outside world and those she knows now will not know where she is and will never hear from her again.'

I may be alone on this one, but for me, creepy doesn't even cover it.

I received a 'hello' email from a man who was into prison war camp torture, which he missed. Said he was a very extreme sadist and his pictures showed him in various medical scenes, one with dental instruments. Another of him with some bloody medical tools, the bloody rib crackers just sent chills in me. I politely said no, then blocked him.

I agree with you I know people personally that are what most  would consider " sick or abusive" they are cool to talk to sometimes. Just always gotta watch your back. I have been around long enough (over 10 years) and in the beginning I thought it was a bunch  of bs. I saw a few scenes once while I trained that blew my mind. It was consentual and although I myself would not go there too many young newbies get caught up or think the dom cares and would not hurt them. Even worse is when they feel the abuse is what they deserve. Every has their kinks and choices though. I just stay on the tracks that is least likely to endanger my livelihood.

It was a red flag because a guy sent an email letting you know he wanted some quick no-strings kinky fun?

Obviously it's not a great approach, but he took a wild chance.

To me red flag means "Very likely dangerous" not "horny dumb guy looking for an easy piece."

G'morning all:

You folks squick out too easily. *chuckling* Maybe I've developed a deep cynicism, thick skin, lack of ability to be shocked, etc. Perhaps it's because of where I reside (NYC), what I do (law enforcement), being an only child, etc. Whatever set of factors that contributed to what makes me "me", I just don't see the big hoopla. Content or pictures. If I come across any of these profiles, I simply have a good laugh and move on. Granted, sick weirdos like this need to be kept at arm's length or better yet, in a strong cell, but it's really nothing to be horrified over. Afterall, we've built this society. I'm just lucky to be the one with the key to the cuffs.

Let me pose you all a question. What's sicker... the jerk looking to do the abuse or the sad fool that replies and allows said abuse to be applied? IMNSHO, render them incapable of breeding then let them have at it. *shrugs* I'm sure there's some genetic or scientific connection as to what makes these peas in the pod tick, let's just not have them cluttering up anymore dna strands.

Stay safe, place nice, share your toys w/ others...

Well, that part alone did set off some red flags, though he could have been a guy looking for easy sex.  We may have different definitions of red flags, but someone who wants to move that fast and have the first meet in a hotel room does set off red flags for Me.

What really concerned Me was what I mentioned in the second paragraph of My post, when I read his profile and learned of his hostiility toward Dominant Women and his desire to "fillet" their a**.  Sounded to Me like he might have wanted a non-consensual cutting scene or worse.  Unless there is another definition of "fillet" that I'm not familiar with.

You can get this color by using the tag {color=#990099} You have to replace the { and } with [ and ] (Upper and lower case of same key) If I'd have left the regular tag brackets it would have not shown up as part of the post. To stop the color from showing up in other's posts, you'd have to close the color tag at the end of your post which is done by {/color} (again, replacing the brackets) I want my sig to be the same color as my posts, so I don't close the color tag.

....Smile..I have to agree Bella that probably your career choice has led you to have a harder shell than most especially in NYC..I am a simple nurse from midwest and a novice ...though I am not youngster anymore..I still can be squicked to the quick!..(grin).....and of course the one with the cuffs can more than likely call the shots..and I do thank my stars that I am savvy enough to avoid being tempted in any way shape or form by these somewhat squickey profiles (IMO..of course..grin).....be well..Tempting

I'm still not going to ID the profile that squicked me specifically (I'm not sure if there is actually a rule about that but it doesn't seem right to do it).  I'll narrow the search field by adding an age range in the early 40's.

Chop chop now, she is in a hurry.

Man, I have not browsed through profiles in a long time.  Look at all the fun I am missing.

Edit:  Oh yeah, with that said I do remember some where the lady looked like something the cat puked up on the carpet and the profile was a list of demands and things they will not do.  Very appealing.
