Logging in to CM last night, I was greeted by a profile on the welcome screen that just scared the hell out of me. I'm not one to send nasty e-mails to someone because I don't like their profile but I was very tempted. I just used the "hide" feature to make sure I never see that smiling face of everything that is wrong with the world again. I'm hoping it was a poor copycat of the fun one CrappyDom ran with (trying hard to convince myself it was) but I'm curious if others have this reaction sometimes. Are there profiles you run across that simply violate everything you believe in?

Hmmm, since I tend to believe in informed consent, and they are being completely up front with what they want, no it doesn't go against my beliefs. There's a lot more to this kinky life than fluffy sensations and whippings. I see profiles that I laugh at, scoff at, things I KNOW are just asking for disaster. But at least they have it all out there- anyone who responds to it knows what they are responding to.

I have seen some Dominant profiles that give me pause....especially those that come right out and say that they are abusers looking for victims...and yes I have seen them. But the ones that actually scare the bejeezus out of me are the submissive/slave profiles, especially of the newbies... that show their naivety or claim themselves as limitless.

Yes! There is a profile of a Dom that came after Me recently with two rather "brutal? emails out of the blue---needless to say he got blocked, most of them like that disappear quickly, but he still lurks and it is very disturbing to Me.

Yes, especially ones where the guy looks angry and is pointing a finger at the camera as if he is pointing at the person on the other side of the screen. All joking aside, I've hidden quite a few profiles based on their content. Some for the pics. There was one in particular that had been constantly reacquiring that made me grateful they put the hide feature in. The pic was hideous and the text was rancorous. And supposedly, this person was a slave seeking an owner.

Here's one I're run across recently. It made me just gape with disbelief! I saved it to her to my Favorites, just in case I think I've been hallucinating that someone actually wrote this: "I need a SLAVE with a home to sell for relocation to NMex. This slave will have no children,live alone,have a pc AND camera, and be between 35 and 50. he will be clean-shaven and look young for his age. I am looking for a sexual domestic servant . no sissies, masochists or pain sluts." Journal entry: "Not interested in becoming friends first either. You don't become friends first with the boss you are going to work under..." She also lives with her father and is unemployed! Un-freakin' believable.

Oh yeah, WR, there are some seriously warped profiles out there....of course now I want to know exactly which one you are talking about ...how about giving us a keyword to search....huh?...huh?...c'mon, you know you wanna....[;)]

I brought up this basic concern the other day in the chatroom, and it seemed as maybe only 1/3rd agreed with me. I find it really troubling to see some young people (being young myself) come on and proclaim they wanna be a slave. All I can think is...you're nineteen...everything you think you know will probably change again in two years. So...ya...I'm not disturb by the person, but sometimes, as others mentioned here I'm a little saddened when I see people just asking for emotional struggles in their life.

It had a picture of a scary dentist guy, looming in a black background. Scared the living shit out of me.

Yes, I strongly believe that anyone with a profile I disagree with should be executed. What the fuck is this? On an ALTERNATIVE SEXUALITY website, you're going to find profiles you don't like. Deal with it and move on.

Laughs,it doesn't happen very often. I've done so many odd things over the years.You won't hear me talk about bdsm very much- it's so old hat to me now. I'm more interested in the context it can be used in. Not just for it's own sake.
