@ vfb..  So you just discovered ALL of CM. Yeah it is a farce. The chat forum rooms are the fat old fuctards like me dancing on a slipping memory and the other side is a marketing tool the sheeple.

Nobody here gives two shits more than the bacteria floating in the dusty old hags douche water.

But I can tell you a story of the blinded PD that might give you ideas for revenge  ;)

Be Well

I know a scammer who has just joined the site.

I know a Doctor that just joined the site.  I think I win on finding the bigger scammer.

*takes a bow*  Thank you, thank you.  I am here all week!  Tip your waitstaff, and try the chicken (veal is just gross)!

What are the chances you'd stumble upon the same criminals on different sites?

I can imagine this scenario easily. Whether or not the person to whom the OP refers is a scammer, scammers exist. I can imagine a scammer on one site joining another site to widen the net. I can imagine the scammer either using the same name, or using the same profile text. I can imagine the OP coming across this new profile based on a search criteria that brought him to the profile in the first case.

I am also willing to allow that the OP is not an idiot for falling for the scam. Hope and that a number of otherwise legitimate dominant women ask for a tribute as a gesture of sincerity can make the choice to give tribute understandable.

OP, each scenario discussed in this thread occur:

1. There are scammers and it is imaginable that one wishes to prevent them from scamming.
2. There are agendas that stem from hurt egos and people falsely accuse others.

People cannot know which scenario is at hand here. Some people will give you the benefit of doubt and some will not. Here is a suggestion; how about starting a new thread discussing the types of scams that are out there and begin a discussion on how to avoid them?

Cheers,

Sea

Really, who does this? Why would you want to narrow your dating pool down to people dumb enough to send cash to strangers?

PeonForHer -> RE: I know a scammer on the site (11/14/2010 9:37:54 AM)

I've seen it done a few times, SD.  It's probably about as successful - or otherwise - as any other attempt to ward off 'non-genuine-subs'.   I'm also developing the somewhat depressing belief that a proportion of malesubs take it for granted that any kind of femdom/malesub relationship just will have to involve their paying money for it.

Since when do victims walk in, hand out their money and call foul like a victim and wish to expose the scammer rather that realize they just exposed how stupid they were? She wanted your money, you gave it, now you are calling foul? lol Trust me, we aren't going to be all sweet and kind and giving you the poor you and how honorable you are that you are trying to report this.

You have a few things to think about and it really shouldn't be how you can seek revenge or justice... it ought to be how not to be a fool with his money and what motivates you to do so.

They have a notice on CM that says "do not send money to anyone for any reason"

If they can't understand that, then I doubt any discussion is going to help.

I have excellent reason to believe I know a scammer who has just joined the site. I was scammed by her on another site. I have reported her using the "report user" button. Is there something else I should do? I don't want to see others get tricked and conned out of money and expectations.
we are not as dumb as you...

er...not as dumb as you THINK we are.

damn good save, if i do say so myself

I was midway through a reply when I looked down and saw that my reply had, almost word-for-word, already been posted.

Don't send money to anyone, for any reason, unless you're sanguine about being ripped off. If you're not, don't send money, or if you do, and get ripped, don't bother whining about it.

I find most of the comments here foolish, and not worth further comment (particularly yours, Lockit). If I'm a fool for wanting to caution others about a predator, then I'm proud to be a fool.
Lockits comment was perfect, as per her norm.

Dude..what you are doing is trying to warn others of the obvious. Whereas it is appreciated, we are not as dumb as you...

er...not as dumb as you THINK we are.

Is there an award for TWO good saves in one thread?

Damnit Ron...giving you a blowjob is NOT an award!! [image]http://www.millan.net/minimations/smileys/boredsmiley.gif[/image]

There's an interesting definition-related nuance ... so what, in the general scheme of things, is the difference between a top and a dom/me?

It fascinates me how different people tend to have different ideas on the topic ... the last time I saw it discussed somewhere (not here), it ended up as a "is not!", "are too!" type exchange.

It doesn't surprise me that a discussion about that subject would descend into an 'is not! 'are too!' squabble, RF.  It's been a contentious subject for as long as I can remember.

Ah, has it? Not to worry then - the last thing I want to do is start a fight in a phone box [:D]

LadyPact -> RE: I know a scammer on the site (11/15/2010 9:07:41 AM)

If we want to discuss terminology, maybe we should start with this as it relates to scams.  The victim tag doesn't work for Me.  I'd go with the word "volunteer".

"Participant"? No, wait, got it: "enabler" [:D]

lurch999 -> RE: I know a scammer on the site (11/15/2010 10:15:59 AM)

Not everyone on this site is as honest as my friend Mr. Mtumbe from the bank. He contacted me yesterday and let's just say I was pretty lucky that he did...

mikeren -> RE: I know a scammer on the site (11/15/2010 7:19:05 PM)

Scammed?? your living out your little fantasy.. Your jacking off to a sweet picture of a Domme.. She asked you to send money and you did.. So fucking what.. Then you came and you were not horney anymore and pissed that you gave your money up.. men call phone sex all the time.. you think all those pictures are real?? NOT!!! so whats the differance.. I have done it, and enjoyed it.. both the phone domination, internet domination and end money. Ieven went into Blackmail stuff with a woman i did not know.. It was fantasy with her.. so get over yourself.. You have to pay if you want to play...

Rochsub2009 -> RE: I know a scammer on the site (11/15/2010 9:34:40 PM)

There's an old saying that goes:

When a person with money
meets a person with experience
The person with experience walks away with the money
And the person with money walks away with experience.

Consider yourself lucky.  You now have experience.  [:D]
