ORIGINAL: Slavehandsome Better still, unless you're a business traveler, just drive where ever you're about to fly to (unless its overseas). Let's face it, the airlines are making way too much money as it is, and they're not bringing any sanity into the debate on behalf of the consumers, therefore, let a few airlines go out of business. 1) Not practical for trips over about 8 hours away. Trust me, I drive for stuff up to 6. 2) Some employers won't allow it. 3) If airlines were making so much money, you wouldn't have a few in bankruptcy with almost all posting negative earnings. My most frequent trips are in excess of 850 miles each way, and it's not uncommon for me to fly more than 2000 miles each way. Few employers will be happy with you taking extra days just to drive to a meeting. And no, hunk, it's not like getting into a microwave oven. Not even close. Willbeur, the X-ray machines do not show internal cavities. This is a backscatter system, not a transmission system. That's how they keep the power levels down. It's similar in approach to the TeraHertz microwave backscattering systems.
