You've failed the test, Tazzy. You are now an evil, right-wing, tool of the oil companies, and brainwashed by the baa-aaad media.

(It would have been easy to do better than Wikipedia for a link, though)

I see Heretic has essentially abandoned his original position that AGW wasn't happening and is now concentrating on the "nobody cares" lie. I guess that is some progress.

Now to demolish the "nobody cares" lie, here is Gallup's polling which shows that 53% of Americans believe global warming is already affecting the planet and 50% see human activity as the cause. That's despite years of intense propoganda by the denialists.

I had already posted the identical link in this thread, Ken, so your lies about what it says are going to slam right back into your face, starting from the headline that America's concern over global warming continues to drop. Is that why you hid the address?

Better sources... ok

http://www.homepage.montana.edu/~geol445/hyperglac/time1/time.htm

http://www.scotese.com/lcretcli.htm

Alligators at the north pole... no ice caps... palm trees in alaska, according to this site.

And a cool graph.

http://www.scotese.com/climate.htm

And, if asking questions based upon conflicting information is the symptom of being brainwashed... lol... gotta ask you.. who is the brainwashed one here? Sure isnt the one asking questions.

Wipe your spittle off the screen before you try to read this, Edwy. Welcome to the real world, where public opinion and public perception equate to the political capital necessary to address problems in a democratic society. It's going to be a very scary place for you, I can tell, but denial doesn't serve any useful purpose at all.

Only when the stain of the hijackers is removed from these issues can we hope to move forward.

Wow.

So the guys/gals in the op-ed pages are leading the way for us all?

Whew. Oh how the sun shines upon us,  the right people are in charge here!

Thanks for that reassurance.

A whole post, just for that. I must have touched a nerve.

Cool!

You know the difference that is being placed on display here? You guys are attacking the messenger, because you don't like the message. I'm attacking the messengers because they are power mad assholes who think carrying the message means they get to be in charge now.

You're a one message guy and have no ability to sort priorities for yourself  or know what to focus on without being led to it. No need for you to keep expounding on the obvious there.

The media is there for people just like you.

The trend is sad but the facts remain as I stated, more than half of Americans consider AGW both legitimate and credible. I am interested to know how you reconcile those stats with your claims.

If you figure out how to engage in a discussion without your template of ad hominem, Edwy, do let us know.

Run along. You are dismissed.

Maybe the fact that the 53% you consider so significant was at 65% two years ago?

So your repeated juvenile spelling of my nick is not  an ad hominem spit ball, then.

But it's still juvenile.

I abbreviate nics for my convenience with damn near everybody, Edwy, but knowing how much it bothers you will make it more fun in your case.

No worries.

Your limitations are quite obvious here, no need to embarrass yourself further with explanations.

Yeah years of relentless lies from the deniers is having an effect. Too bad for you reality is not decided by polling.

Well, Ken, this is probably as close as you are going to get to addressing the actual topic. Thanks for your contribution.

The actual topic, as I've already proven, is fallacious. You even admitted as such when you tried to change the subject from legitimatacy of AGW, the original claim, to credibility of AGW.

You've proven nothing beyond your own unthinking bias and irrationality Ken.

Then we're going back to your unsupported claim that AGW is illegitimate? Got any evidence at all to support the assertion?
