(One final clue: whatever problems are there, they have fuck all to do with Wall Street employing innumerate financiers. As far as your first point goes, one thing it's worth mentioning (and which I'm sure somebody will have already) is that pretty much everybody in the Commons will have graduated back before tuition fees came in. I can understand students getting livid that people who had a free university education like Cassandra and his bitch are sticking them with another increase on the fees they didn't have to pay back in the early '90s. I'd be a bit peeved about that myself, to be honest.
