"An analysis of the ice free regions of the Arctic Ocean has found that the higher temperatures experienced due to climate change may paradoxically mean that the northern hemisphere has increased the chances of colder winters in the years to come. "

I'm impressed.
That's some near-genius proactive model-tweaking there.
I'll bet they can make it mean warmer winters, too. Snowier ones. Drier ones. Very impressive, the effort they put into their AGW religion.

Look, if you're not capable of comprehending the 6th-grade level science behind what HK said, why don't you just admit it instead of chortling and boasting about your ignorance.

There's another post that isn't a personal attack, right?
Why don't you try adding to a discussion once in a while?
As it is, you're just a bad joke.

If you were a little more correct more often you wouldnt have half these problems
when so many different people call you on your bullshit... it might be YOU thats the issue
just sayin

"It is bizzare that you think a swiss writer defined a term under US law (30+ years before the Constitution was written no less). "

Is there a libtard prize for whomever picks the silliest nit with me??

I'm pretty sure [:D] all the words and phrases were defined by somone other than the Founders before they used them. When they wanted to define a term in a certain way not commonly in use, they did so (I am thinking here specifically of their defintion of the word "citizen").

What "nit?" Are you seriously contending that a definition in a book written 15 years before the country was founded constitutes a legal definition under the United States Constitution, simply because the book may have influenced the thinking of the Founding Fathers? Do you genuinely not grasp how stupid that sounds? You seriously think it's "picking nits" when we point out how stupid it is?

And again, how is it a personal attack to point out that you have absolutely no fucking idea what you're talking about? The science is simple, it's clear, and it's easily understandable on approximately the 6th grade level. Yet you obviously do not understand it, so therefore it is completely fair and accurate to point out that you are ignorant about the issue you are attempting to discuss. If you don't want people to point that out, then either pick up a book and educate yourself, or quit trying to present yourself as an authority on things you know absolutely nothing about.

HK is completely correct. Melting polar ice causes widespread and significant changes in ocean currents, wind patterns, and precipitation. That's documented and completely validated science, but because you don't understand it, you ridicule it. Is that what you call "adding to the discussion?"

Al Gore is to climate change, as what Palin is to the tea party.

Somebody has to be "out there", stirring the pot of misdirections, and getting obscenely rich doing it.

I've asked several times on this thread and so far no one has been able to tell me how he is "getting obscenely rich doing it".

Care to educate me?

Rule, last I heard Gore gets $100,000 per speech/appearance. You stay on the road for 90 days doing that and you're talking about a sizable sum! And on some days you could make two events. Oh, and the book deals and t.v. appearances.
He's probably made a lot more than $100M in the last three or four years.

And those proceeds have all been donated to his non-profit organization, the Alliance for Climate Protection.

All O'dumbo has to do is release the originals. And I mean birth certificate and academic records. I can do that for myself. Can you? But he can't? Hey, I don't know WHERE he was born. Maybe Hawaii, maybe Kenya, who knows? But hey we got all that hope and change goin' around, so it's all good right?

Okay, tell you what, put up or shut up.

You have a fine forum here where you can post your birth certificate and all your academic records for all to see.

So you are going to continue to ignore all the rest of the stuff I posted about how Gore makes money on this stuff, in direct response to your request?

Like you did a year ago, when I first posted the information for you, and which you ignored then, as well?

Why are you answering Popeye on the subject, rather than me, when I specifically addressed your request to "be educated", and repeated the information once again?

You relentlessly express two ideas on these boards:

1. Show me a site!!! Show me a site!!!!
2. Your site is bullshit!!!

This is tiresome.

Yes, I know.

It is tiresome to have to prove what you say.

It's so much easier to spit out whatever pops into your brain and hope that people will believe it.

By the way, the word is cite, not site.

quote:

The facts are clear. Legal Team 0bama0 has gotten upwards of a dozen cases concerning his eligibility for office thrown out of court, all on the grounds that the plaintiffs lacked standing. At least one of these cases was appealled to SCOTUS.

Which means that either Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy paid for all the legal work associated with these cases or 0bama0 did. It's an either/or deal dude. You seem to think the legal work was, what, cheap? The cost was neglible? I think otherwise. WND and others have estimated the minimum cost at 1.7 million.

Another fact not in dispute, and no I am not going to play your site/bullshit game. 0bama0 has refused to discuss said costs.

Would that be anything like you refusing to discuss anything but the nonsense you read on a site (site as opposed to cite, see the difference?) run by people who, to put it politely, have a less than firm grasp on reality.

WorldNetDaily - Wikipedia

9/11 attacks On September 13, 2001, WND published a commentary by Anthony C. LoBaido regarding the September 11 attacks on New York City and Washington, D.C., two days earlier. In his column, LoBaido outlined what he regarded as the moral depravity of America in general and New York in particular, asking whether, "God (has) raised up Shiite Islam as a sword against America."

Libel lawsuit On September 20, 2000, WND published an article claiming that Clark Jones, a Savannah, Tennessee car dealer and fund-raiser for then-Vice President Al Gore, had interfered with a criminal investigation, had been a "subject" of a criminal investigation, was listed on law enforcement computers as a "dope dealer," and implied that he had ties to others involved in alleged criminal activity.

In 2001, Jones filed a lawsuit against WND; the reporters, Charles C. Thompson II and Tony Hays; the Center for Public Integrity, which had underwritten Thompson and Hays' reporting on the article and related ones and various Tennessee publications and broadcasters who he accused of repeating the claim, claiming libel and defamation. The lawsuit had been scheduled to go to trial in March 2008;  but, on February 13, 2008, WND announced that a confidential out-of-court settlement had been reached with Jones.  A settlement statement jointly drafted by all parties in the lawsuit states in part:
Discovery has revealed to WorldNetDaily.com that no witness verifies the truth of what the witnesses are reported by authors to have stated. Additionally, no document has been discovered that provides any verification that the statements written were true. Factual discovery in the litigation and response from Freedom of Information Act requests to law enforcement agencies confirm Clark Jones' assertion that his name has never been on law enforcement computers, that he has not been the subject of any criminal investigation nor has he interfered with any investigation as stated in the articles. Discovery has also revealed that the sources named in the publications have stated under oath that statements attributed to them in the articles were either not made by them, were misquoted by the authors, were misconstrued, or the statements were taken out of context.

Patience is a virtue Firm.

I'm not ignoring it, I just haven't got around to reading it all yet.

Hardly, but perhaps you are for not reading it all. Then again, that would not fit your agenda.

“My thought was, ‘Wait a minute, why didn’t you ask me, my friends in the national Congress, the House of Representatives?’ ” he said. “They know me, they know that I was here, but they didn’t even bother to have the courtesy to do that, which is disappointing to me, because it is very difficult for me not to conclude that bills like that are meant as a coded message that he is not really American. My thought is, rather than get into some kind of argument or play into that mentality, why not just simply try to authenticate this and let the facts speak for themselves?”

As a statist, of course you would define it that way.

The proper way to look at it, though, is that it is up to any given candidate to prove eligibility.

And, of course, you have proof he didnt show eligibility to anyone at all.

Having read through it, a few questions come to mind.

First, he is a private citizen.  Any influence he has on passing legislation is as a private citizen.  He holds no public office so there is no conflict of interest as your article implies.

Second, as he said, he is putting his money where his mouth is.  Alternative energy is something he apparently believes in so why should he not invest in that?  I thought conservatives liked that sort of thing.  You know, the freedom to invest in any business that you wish.

Third, what he is investing in is hardly proven technology nor guaranteed that it will ever make money.  He is taking a risk on things that may never be viable.

Is it just because you don't believe in climate change that you and others want to dredge up anything to discredit someone who does?

Tell me again about your theories on ideological blinders and bias.  I need a good bedtime story.
