There is a huge downside to finding old threads in which you posted, though.  I can't tell you how much time I've wasted in the past few days reading old threads. 

Edited to add:  In my humble opinion, we had a greater percentage of really great threads in the past.  While there's an interesting one here and there now, there's a lot fewer really good ones.

HINT:  Even if you've deleted your profile on the other side, the login for it will still work here.  Once logged in to your old profile, you can search for those posts.

That possibility occurred to me too.

But I also see the decline in the political threads, where there regularly are fresh topics. I wonder if many of our thoughtful, reasoned posters gave up trying to converse with what someone once called "partisan parrots."

Not because I'm afraid to but because I don't really feel the need, I have a sub to speak to in real life if needed, who's also my best friend, I'm also happily collared and with that get too busy to be on here so much.

I do understand some come on to help others which is nice but I think it's really just preference, that or time, for me it's a little of both.

Yep, I was Voltare once upon a time. In fact, I was a member of the collarme forum that existed for about a yearish, before they moved to a different ASP driven forum and database (the one that is still used here.)

I rarely use the forums here, as I don't spend a ton of time online anymore, and SF's kink community is mostly glued together by the 'other' site.

When I joined collarme, I was living in Santiago, Chile, pursuing my first long term M/s relationship, still 'curious' about real life Goreanism (as opposed to theoretical Gor, as illustrated in role play) and struggling to learn guitar. Seems almost a lifetime ago.

I peek in on CM once or twice a month usually, just curious to see what it's become, though I've found the quantity of spam and the heavy handed approach to moderation to be a turn off. I don't blame the site or the management, I just think new social media formats controlled by superusers (i.e. groups created and maintained by users) are eclipsing the 'mainframe' central management formula.

Just two cents.
