The "progressives ten year history of hate" - a primer: http://thurly.net/8qn

This is a must read catalogue of the hard left (you know, democrats) history of hate. All they want to do is shut up any questioning of them. As for me, I say let them speak! I love the Internet and You Tube. See stupid leftists say and do stupid things! See, leftists like the first amendment for THEMSELVES; not so crazy about it for others.

Any way that you could tie that thought in with the topic itself, the shooting of Giffords?

I took his post and the link provided as pointing out the hypocrisy of those here who are blaming this shooting on the Tea Party, Beck, Limbaugh, Palin and all the rest of it. All this putting the blame on right wing politics is IMHO absurd.  I hear now this idiot had a camo tent with candles potting soil and a scull. Also according to reports this guy has been pretty wacko since he was a kid. I'm not sure how politics plays into it.

I left my tv on to the news last night and when I woke I would hear different things. There are a few things that I find disturbing.

1. All the charges this guy faces at the moment, exclude most the private citizens.
2. Our political employee's are waving all other business to handle the business that seems to be most important... covering their ass. That is all fine, but cover our ass's too. To see them taking breaks at a time when we have the high unemployment and suffering of the people I find it strange who's ass they cover at different times and whose they don't cover it seems, ever.
3. That no one is talking about mental health and how we treat it in this country and this is exactly what caused this mass murder... the illness of one that was showing serious signs of mental illness, so much that classmates and teachers were afraid of him and they are focusing on everything else but the real cause here.

I don't typically expect our political employee's to do the right thing or shall I say, I do expect them to do the right thing but I rarely find that they do so.

How insulting to the private citizens to know that the lives of our employee's is far more important than those others that were wounded or killed. How insulting to know that the business of this nation can be put on hold at a time like we are living in, while they work on making sure they are safe and taken care of. I want them safe and think that those that speak like political terrorist should be expected to act appropriately. Those political commentator's, political employee's and those that incite or speak like terrorist should be held accountable by us, the employer and citizens and there should be ways in which we can hold them accountable.

We need more ways in which to hold them accountable other than our vote. How about some legislation on that, during this light duty week?

(Edited because I am not awake and need more coffee)

One can certainly see what you are good for...spouting racist nonsense and leftist B.S..

Funny...but at the same time all the liberal commentators are saying how this must NOT be made a diatribe against those who speak out against governmental policies as being responsible, the other side of their mouth IS "asking" if it is "possible" that the climate of political confrontation might be "a factor" in violence against political figures.

People are responsible for their own actions.  If they are not, then they are insane.  This man is 22 yrs old and all signs indicate that he has been a nutcase for awhile.  His friends have been afraid of him for awhile (note that none of them tried to get him help or intervene sometime BEFORE this came up.  Who do we blame the culture of non-involvement, "let it flow" on?).  He could have just as easily focused on a plastic Jesus on his dashboard telling him to go out and kill.

You begin to sound like those folks who stated "it was all Hitler.  He hypnotized us...he made us do it...he was just so forceful and commanding...".  Bullshit.  He was a man with grandiose, terrible ideas whose followers shared in those ideas and many of the ones who did question his ideas were still too weak to stand up to him and followed him right up to the bitter end...then when they went on trial, it was all Hitler's fault.  Even the citizens who lived close to the concentration camps and their stories of "but we did not KNOW what was going on in there".  Bullshit.  They knew.  They chose to listen to a man who "might" relieve them of their financial worries, who might raise them up to be the "leaders" of the world because it sounded good.

It does not matter whether it is Beck or Limbaugh or Colmes or Couric or Williams or Franken or Garafolo or Hannity that is speaking...nuts are going to find what they WANT to find in their words.  That does not make the speaker responsible...it makes the one who decides to take action responsible.

You've mentioned lynching.  Like Dark Steven, I've never lynched any man or woman or child in my life, black or white or yellow or brown.  I am not responsible for the culture of the times in which it occurred.  Given my upbringing, I doubt seriously that I ever would have gone along with it.  Trying to take racial beliefs of a large group of people during another time in history and transplant those ideas onto an entire group of people now just makes you look like what you are...a leftist racist.

While anger can be a great motivator in life, anger without reason and losing some human decency in the processing of anger... is what I consider a mental or emotional imbalance and does lead to exaggerated issues and crimes such as the one this thread is about.

If you can't temper your anger over real or imagined wrongs and must lash out at others... you might consider balancing yourself or shutting up until you do.

I wouldn't be to quick for those on the left to blame the right with inciting violence with retoric. It was President Obama who said ' If they bring a knife, we wll bring a gun ".. 2008 campaign speech in Philidelphia, PA.

You don't have a class system in America?
That'll be good news for Kevin Federline and Levi Johnstone, but I can't see the George H Bushs or Oprah Winfreys who've put a lot of effort into social climbing being at all happy about that one.

So which Republicans have been shot by mentally ill flakes after two years of idiots calling for an armed insurrection against a Kenyan president, then?

No, that was servantforuse said that, and wished Obama would have said that.

“Barack Obama’s call for ‘new politics’ is officially over. In just 24 hours, Barack Obama attacked one of America’s pioneering women CEOs, rejected a series of joint bipartisan town halls, and said that if there’s a political knife fight, he’d bring a gun," McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds said, referring also to the Obama campaign's shot at Carly Fiorina's lavish pay package and role in layoffs at Hewlett-Packard.

(and note the source at that.....)

One of the ironies about our two countries is that Britain, where citizens believe the class structure prevents mobility, actually has greater class mobility than the U.S., where citizens believe they have great class mobility but in fact have rather rigid class lines that are difficult to transcend. It's among the reasons many Americans continue to vote against their own interests. Americans also commonly misunderstand where they are on that class continuum economically, and again, consequently vote against their own interests.

Interesting and sad, all at once.

All men are created equal here.

Unlike the UK.

And we have un-alienable rights.  (unlike UK)

Right. So some unemployable geezer stuck in a trailer park somewhere in the midwest is socially equal to somebody who joined one of the better fraternities along with Skull and Bones at Yale then, are they?

Nearly as nice as the Americans who spent forty years funding the provisional IRA through Noraid, yes.

I know the difference between words and reality.

You should learn the difference between claims people make and the ones you claim they made.

Absolutely.

Sure people have different riches in their life.

But the law of this land- is that all men are created equal- with un-alienable rights.

Our constitution should be updated to say that "All Humans are created equal".
